Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pets' health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.
We understand how hard losing a pet can be, and we are here to make this time as easy on you as possible. We offer group or private cremations for your pet. If you would like your pet's ashes returned, we have a variety of urns to choose from with quick, prompt, respectful service. If you have any special requests, or questions, please do not hesitate to ask us.
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any animal. Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream. In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.
Your pet's skin is the largest organ of its body. Allergies, parasites, infections, autoimmune diseases and cancers can all affect your pet's skin. We offer specific diagnostic tests like allergy testing, fungal testing, cultures and biopsies, along with the most cutting edge treatments to ensure the health of your pet's skin.

Saturday morning with a sick pup and Summerside Vet Clinic fit him into their busy schedule. They were amazing. Dr. Wheeler, was on that morning and figured out the problem quickly. The staff including Ashley were tip top and treated him like royalty. I was so very happy with the kindness and great staff. Our wolfhound got totally spoiled. Hats off to a great vet clinic. Thank you so very much.

They give your fur babies the absolute best care they can. Personable, efficient and kind. When we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our girl they were sympathetic, and kindly explained to us what to expect during and after the procedure.
Since then we have gotten puppies, and decided since they were so excellent in their care for our sweet girl when we had to say goodbye, that we would be bringing our pups there for all their veterinary needs. Their care has been absolutely wonderful, you can tell that each and every one of them cares deeply for your animals wellbeing. I feel comfort in knowing

My dog passed in my arms on the way to the vet, so arriving there, she was gone. I walked in the doors, pleading for help in any way, and was told to put a mask on, despite the fact that my dog was deceased in my arms, regardless, I put my mask on.
Frantic and obviously a mess, the vet comes out to tell me she’s gone and there’s nothing they could’ve done. I accept this unfortunate news and go into see her. I enter the room, she’s on the table, eyes still open, I fall to the floor, in hysterics. How can you ask someone to come say goodbye to their pet, and couldn’t even do me the decency

Most often I would score higher, but this visit I waited one full hour with my cat in the exam room. My appointment was at 4 pm. The doctor arrived in the room at 5 pm. Everyone was apologetic but I feel there was time to call me prior to let me know they were running late so I could have stayed home until close to the time they could see us. Or reschedule. When waiting a full hour in a small room your frustration builds and builds. It's hard to be kind after that. I did my best and I have a very good cat thankfully.

The receptionists state their opinion as fact without checking and get quite rude when you get confused and try to clarify.
I called in before purchasing my rats a few months ago, to make sure that my vet was willing to work with them before bringing them home. The receptionist spoke to a doctor, and let me know that they cant do anything to in depth like surgery etc but I could bring them in for examination/ other issues. Breathing issues are common in rats, and one of my boys is having some trouble breathing lately, almost certainly an Upper Respiratory Infection that needs some antibiotics
