In Balance is a family chiropractic and wellness centre that has been serving Leduc County since 2006. We are committed to providing our patients with an integrated approach to health care. We believe that creating healthy changes starts with assessing your current state of health and then creating strategies to achieve your specific health goals.

Like a retirement plan a health care plan requires careful assessment, good advice, sound strategies and consistent practice. Our goal is to help our clients create wellness by first helping our patients recover from both acute and chronic injuries. We have adopted a symptomatic, corrective and preventative approach to help you maximize your recovery.

Dr. Charles Vantanajal is a graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary. Dr. Vantanajal has created a clinic that is both welcoming and committed to providing patient centered care. His goal is to encourage each patient to look beyond their symptoms, and achieve a better state of health by focusing on rebuilding their strength, flexibility, and balance.
Acupuncture is the insertion of ultra fine needles into specific points on the body (known as acupuncture points) to help redirect the flow of Qi (energy). The World Health Organization and the National Institute of Health recognize acupuncture as being effective for numerous conditions. Acupuncture is highly recognized for treating pain but it is also very effective in treating mental emotional, reproductive, digestive disorders and many more.
Can Chiropractic help you? Doctors of chiropractic diagnose, treat and help prevent conditions and disorders related to the back, neck, pelvis and extremity joints. Chiropractic care at In Balance begins with a complete health history followed by a thorough physical examination in order to determine a diagnosis, identify the cause of your pain and identify any biomechanical faults which maybe the underlying cause for the injury.
Though used for decades, mechanical traction has remained a rather primitive modality done with the aid of a simple motorized pull unit. Although other medical equipment became digitized, computerized, modernized and user-friendly, mechanical traction's unsophisticated operating system and cumbersome belting configurations remained largely unchanged.

Well I started seeing Charles about 10 years ago, in 2010. I had a torn rotator cuff on my right shoulder and was in incredible pain. I starting to get extremely overweight due to the lack of activity. At that time Charles’s business was located in Beaumont. Trust me when I say I did not exercise very much. Dr. Charles Vantanajal is the real deal. He knows his stuff, and his knowledge base is evident through his impressive use of modern treatment methods.
Having tried many different providers, I can conclude without a doubt that this is simply THE BEST chiropractic treatment I have ever come across.

Dr. V is absolutely amazing! I went here after 4 almost 5 years of chronic hip pain that increasingly became worse as I graduated university and started working as an RN and mainly working 12s. I had gone to athletic trainers, GPs, physios and none of them could really explain what was wrong. One of my best friends parents recommended Dr. V to me a few months ago, and right away he knew what was happening with my body and that it wasn't an alignment issue, but a totally different thing all together. I tried the hydromassage and loved it. No other place offers a massage where I don't have to take my cloths off and on. You lay on top of the plastic sheet and warm water washes back and forth across your body. You are perfectly dry. This took less time than a conventional massage. I entered the office told them I was there for the hydromassage and we set the time to 20 min and I just rested. I wish I had know about this way of getting a massage when I was working. I would have used it on my lunch hour. You control the speed, the pressure and even how much time you want to use.

Twenty years ago, a cross-country skiing fall put my back in a permanent state of pain. I went through regular chiropractic treatments and massage therapy for years until my massage therapist recommended doing yoga. I started practising yoga and back pain subsided. My family has been a client of inbalance wellness centre for more than 8 years. Everyone knows athletes are supported by a host of medical professionals. My son has played all through minor hockey and now into junior hockey. He has always been treated by inbalance and even though he has been fortunate to not have a major injury, every injury has fully recovered in a reasonable time.
For myself I have always stated that every heavy duty mechanic knows a really good chiropractor. Charles is not the typical snap and crunch kind of chiropractor. His approach is more of a diagnosic first followed by

I've been taking Stephanie's Yoga 101 class for about a year and a half now. Its the first thing I have stuck too in a long time. I'm sure glad I have, I feel wonderful!! I've also been able to be comfortable enough to attend a few other yoga classes, took up cycling again and recently started swimming again. Stephanie got me moving again!!

My body said help and Stephanie and Charles responded. Stephanie has been an invaluable motivator and resource in the past three years she has been coming to my school to teach twice weekly yoga classes. Her sound focus on function and respect for where each person is at has lead many to come back year after year.
