DO NOT HIRE UNITED VAN LINES CANADA!!! United Van Lines Canada performed that last leg of a move to Ottawa in December 2021. They were AWFUL! They gave a 2-week window on the delivery, then told us the wrong delivery day. They refused to comply with the rules of the destination, a LTC retirement residence, and told us that UVL would NOT supply movers who would take Covid 19 tests, and told us WE would have to find our own movers to deliver the load!?!? (after we had already paid!?) Their customer service reps are the worst!!

***been 5 months since the move. They will not replace items they damaged. I provided undeniable proof that they damaged certain items and they offer $1000 as a “good will gesture” on over $5000 in items. Straight out refuse to cover other items worth $3500. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Worst experience ever. Nothing properly labelled, they did not deliver. Instead dropped off at a third party moving company, by the time it arrived so much of our stuff was damaged. United refuses to cover anything properly. Around $18000 claimed damages, around $12000 of the items they at first said

United Van Lines did my military move in August from BC to Ottawa. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.
During the move, the movers made racist jokes directed at natives, one even put their hands on me and proceeded to attempt to push me out of a room. They took all of our packed clothes from wardrobes etc and stuffed into corners of the truck - no box, no coverings of any kind.
The rudeness and unprofessionalism was unparalleled in any move we’ve had. And it did not stop at the movers.
When I submitted my claim to United they assigned an adjudicator, who has low balled

On the evening of August 28, 2021 at approximately7:20pm, my family and I encountered one of your employees on the Trans Canada highway between Grand Falls Windsor and Badger, Newfoundland. Heading west, I was driving a Dodge Ram sport pickup truck with my family aboard, including a child, on our way to Catamaran Park for our camping trip. Wish I could give it a zero. What a nightmare. Two of the three movers kept telling me how awful the other mover was (using profanity). There was a lot of tension all days with the "boss" in the truck most of the day and no communication between the three of them. Could not talk to the manager of the Calgary office where I booked but these three guys worked out of Edmonton so finally got a hold of the Manager of Edmonton. The salesman told me one thing but the movers didn't deliver. A horrible experience. The head office called and the first thing they asked me was when I would pay the balance
