I found Jon online after trying several other mechanics in the Aurora area. He's a great guy, explains complex problems in a way that I can understand as I know nothing about cars. Just drove up to get my wheel bolts tightened. John runs out, whips around the car with a torque wrench, smiles and waves farewell. A drive through service. He continues to amaze me 20 years into this relationship.

Finally taking the time to write a review as I’ve moved to Toronto, one of the busiest cities and I haven’t been able to find a mechanic as great as John. I met him when I still lived at home and want to say he’s one of the kindest, honest and most patient person I have ever met with exceptional car practices and knowledge. Never had any issues, and if I’m ever in the Aurora area I know where to go. Thanks so much for your amazing work over the last 5+ years!

I am very pleased with the work that John did on my Mazda CX-5. As a Realtor I need to be on the road daily and with my clients at the drop of a hat. After a lower ball joint failed and did some damage to the drivetrain of my car John fixed it up quickly and for a very reasonable price. I have no doubt that had I taken it to a big brand shop I would have paid far more for the repairs. He easily could have charged me an unreasonable amount as my car had been towed to the shop after close and wasn't moveable without a tow truck. My experience with John at R&S Auto was pretty much terrible start to finish. First off he's extremely dry and makes it seem like he doesn't want to be there, very unwelcoming and not very helpful. Secondly, he never answers the phone and I had to call him about 4 times over a 2-hour period before he finally picked up, sounding agitated that someone was god forbid calling to check up on their car.
Third and most importantly, I have a car show/track day scheduled for tomorrow and I needed part of my exhaust system installed on my car TODAY. I understand that some mechanics are not willing to remove

Having read the reviews I decided to see if John could investigate the new noise my car was making. I am a super nervous older woman and was anticipating making a longer than usual trip later this week. He said to come in in the next hour and he would take a look. He took it for a drive and the noise was not there. Back at the shop he checked the oil and put more air in the tires. He told me that my nine year old car should be good for another 200,000 km and to relax. NO CHARGE. Super nice man who will be getting my future business and recommendations. Thank you John.

I really like John, he is honest and straight forward. I read some reviews online about 6 months ago when I was looking for a trustworthy mechanic. I decided to try him. I was not deceived, he fixed my vehicle, for a very fair price, let me bring in my own parts if I want to. My 2002 Nissan Maxima was starting to cost me much money, and John, after checking it over, and not charging me for it, said that it would not be worth me putting more money into this car. I got my car safety done with John. He was great. If you are looking for a large "chain", maybe this isn't the place for you. John runs a small shop, seemingly all on his own. And he only has 2 hands, so don't expect a secretary and multiple mechanics available 24x7. :) But he knows a lot, is easy to deal with and at fair prices and done right. I plan to become a regular.
