Broadview Psychology
DBT helps patients to accept & regulate their emotions, behavior, and relationships so that they can build a better life. We offer many DBT & CBT groups that help you learn skills & strategies to help you reach your goals. We work with families & couples to help them cope with relationship stressors while strengthening their relationships and functioning.

We help athletes and performers through mental skills training & other relevant psychological interventions. When needed, we include members & partners to help ensure that your therapy extends beyond our clinic. Not only were we the first private DBT psychology clinic in Toronto, we are also the only DBT clinic in Toronto to work with all ages.
Services
Humans don't live in a bubble. We like to talk to the family as a whole to make sure that everyone is on the same page and nip any problems in the bud. We focus on clients' strengths and resources, and how these help them to cope with and adapt to stressful experiences. We help clients become more resilient in dealing with life challenges.
Wondering if our team of psychologists and clinicians can help you with your specific concerns? Just Ask! Send us a message with your questions and one of our staff members will get back to you within 2 to 3 business days. If you decide to access services with us, you will be asked to come in for an intake/assessment that typically takes two to three sessions to complete.
At Broadview Psychology, we care about providing comprehensive and creative programs that will meet the needs of our clients. We believe that effective treatment often requires multiple therapy modalities to target different goals, and as such, we offer a variety of psychological services. Treatment at Broadview Psychology often extends beyond the individual and enables people to learn within families, partnerships, and groups.
We work with adults to provide support, resources, and treatment to deal with a range of mental health difficulties, traumas, relationship challenges, and life stressors / transitions. We provide treatment for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, insomnia, eating disorders, addictions, and personality disorders (particularly Borderline Personality Disorder).
We offer many groups at Broadview Psychology as groups enhance the effectiveness of treatment. Groups provide social support, reduces stigma, facilitate skills acquisition, and improve relationship skills. The goals of DBT skills groups include improving mindfulness, tolerating distress, regulating emotions, relating to others more effectively, and becoming more balanced.

Seeking therapy is a valiant and courageous effort. Kudos to you for taking this massive step!
If you are reading this, it is likely because you are considering therapy here. And when I did, I equated the sizeable cost, time commitment, and study/practice effort asked of clients at Broadview with a higher likelihood of this therapy helping to make my life better. I can tell you that I spent about 10K over 9 months, worked hard, studied hard, and in that time, I graduated from their program!
However, the program didn't work for me. My life did not get all that much better. And I grew interested

All of the clinicians that I have met for myself and my family have been exceptional. They have walked with our family through some very dark moments and continue to help us to learn to be the people that we were made to be. They are well educated, compassionate, understanding, knowledgeable and patient. I think that everyone would benefit from DBT, and this is an excellent place to get the whole package. If you already have a therapist, they are still willing to have you do a DBT group with them.

After dealing with depression for almost ten years, this is the very first time I am beginning to feel alive again. Entered the CBT / DBT program for depression & adhd. It has been a lot of hard work (emotionally) but i’ve had the most significant improvement to my overall well-being in just a few months.
My individual psychotherapist is great and insightful, she and i were able to build a rapport very quickly. She is intuitive and really can redirect a meeting instantly if she can see where some things need to be adjusted.
My group therapists work really well together, they are both strong

Broadview psychology has helped me so much with my mental health. All of the clinicians and intake staff are so efficient, friendly, and go above and beyond to support all clients. Such a great experience here, would highly recommend.

I had a horrible experience. I should have never trusted my therapist. I believed they were going to support me but the therapist has caused a horrible situation for me and I am now more depressed than ever. Please do not waste your time and money here. I promise you that it is not worth it. Due to Broadview Psychology, I've given up on seeking help from these licensed "professionals". They take your money and you will not see self improvement.

The therapists are unkind and went against my explicit requests. They left me worse than I began, and I genuinely urge any parent thinking of sending their teen here to RECONSIDER!!

2 months in, and I hadn’t learned a single thing. No improvement whatsoever in my BPD symptoms, despite religiously doing the homework, attending sessions, etc. Staff is all young pretty women, perhaps to provide some kind of allure to a facility that takes your money and gives you nothing in return.

This place really helped me with my mental health issues, the most notable thing is the parent group. Its changed my relationship with my mom greatly. Most of the tharapists are great. The only downsides are the price and how they keep trying to get you to come back. I was doing ok and just needed meds but I kept having to go to exspensive sessions for nothing because they were pressuring me into it. The environment is comfortable and it really did help me in the beginning. This place has great tharapy for teenagers and I would recommend it.

We were charged $260 for 50 min session to overview the DBT Peer group for this Atrocious facility located in a family home. The bathrooms have remnant tub/shower from the former tenant - with the toilet plunger stashed in the shower!!!! Hard to convince a teen to walk in when signage is worn down and shovels strewn across the front porch. We had high hopes as we need this DBT group therapy - but my daughter won't go back!
