This gem is a delight for anyone from the beginner to the senior golfer. Set amidst the beauty of the boreal forest in the Athabasca River valley, this challenging, yet fun 18-hole layout is a true testament of man working alongside nature to create a visually stunning and unobtrusive test of golf.
Along with the fantastic course conditions, you'll find an upscale restaurant in the clubhouse and a well-stocked pro shop with knowledgeable staff to help you make those important decisions on the latest golf gear you must have.

Athabasca Golf and Country Club was originally a nine hole layout designed in 1963. The course was expanded to a full eighteen holes in 1995 by Sid Puddicombe. Now with a recent $1.8 million renovation (also by Puddicombe) it boasts the 4th most difficult challenges in all of Canada. This beautiful course has much to offer even the most experienced golfer.

Everyone will tell you this is a great course. 90 minute drive from Edmonton is well worth it.
But what makes it great? Well it's in great condition (August 2021 visit), and I hear it always is.
Every hole is different and thought provoking. There's very few spots you pull your driver and just rip it. This is a thinking golf course.
Girls working in the clubhouse were very friendly and accommodating.
What else can I say. We had as great day. Thanks to all the staff and management at the Athabasca Golf Club.
