With over 40 years of fabricating experience, I have worked on everything you can imagine, from custom one-of-a-kind pieces to simple cookware repairs.

The part of my work that brings me the most satisfaction is the personal relationships it affords me. I opened Custom Steel-Fab in 1973, and while a lot has changed in that time, one thing will always remain the same: loyalty to my valued customers. I have always aimed to provide a tailored and unique service.
Welding aluminum can be a tricky business because of the heat involved on a lighter metal than steel. Welding aluminum to a different metal is even trickier, involving using a metal interface between the aluminum and the dissimilar metal to avoid the creation of brittle intermetallic compounds. At Custom Steel-Fab, I'm equipped to handle aluminum the right way and to work with higher-carbon stainless steels as well.
When your item is too big to come into my shop or you need it welded at your site, I'll bring the shop to you! I provide mobile welding services all over the Burlington area. Very happy with having Ted help me with my shredded snow blower tires. A gentleman with lots of experience in his trade, it’s obvious he loves what he does! I didn’t have to hound him or follow up much. He got the job done as he said he would. Would have been nice to have it back for the early November snow dump we had in the GTA, but I blame Mother Nature for that terrible timing. Thanks so much Ted!

Brought him my aluminium boat with a crack in the hull. He said he could repair it. He said it would take a couple weeks. After many phone calls, finally six weeks later he said it was done. I picked up the boat and paid for the repairs. When I returned home I had a good look at what he did. I noticed it was a cheap bandage patch. The crack was not fixed and the boat leaked just as bad as it did before the repairs. When i had the boat home I did some minor maintanence, checked lower end oil and other routine maintainence. I called Ted not happy. He said bring the boat back and he would do the repair
