For a small town hotel, I'm rather impressed with the Carmacks Hotel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are nice, and for a road trip hotel or a work stopover, it's better than adequate. The store nearby has everything you need, and good opening hours. The Gold Panner restaurant across the parking lot is also excellent.

It was the only place open in Carmacks over the winter. It conveniently has a restaurant across the parking lot, and a lounge within hotel. Typical hotel stay. Would stay again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the pure variety that this location offered. After so long of a journey, I welcomed the fantastically stocked and plentiful selection of the Grocery store. Whatever you needed you could find there! The bar offered a very pleasant staff and lovely atmosphere to enjoy a cold beverage following a long day. The restaurants food was delicious! I was in town for several days and every single staff member I encountered was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant as well. Certainly manage your expectations, as this is not a metropolis but a long cared for and managed family operation

Two old girls checked into this Hotel in September 2119...and were deeply thankful for all the amenities and friendliness. I am shocked by anyone being dissappointed. Thanks for being on the highway and providing everything anyone could need. I love the Yukon and Northern people.

RV Site experience. The first time we stayed we were treated quite nicely. The grounds were well kept, the washrooms cleanish except that the showers ate my loonies but no big deal. The site we stayed in was a 50amp but they had 30 amp plugs and were charged the 30 amp price. It had a picnic table and nice view. So we decided to stay here again on the drive back from Dawson City and they flat out refused to give us the same site we were in; citing that the motel/RV park never does that. I was treated so poorly by both the manager and the desk reception. Why would I lie about and they didn’t even

Check in was a little chaotic, but the cabin, even without AC, was comfy. Smaller older bed, but ok. Great view. Perfect for me as a truck driver as I was able to park close by.

It was pretty cozy for the first couple days, but I noticed that I was deceived upon entry, for this is not a hotel but a motel. Minor inconvenience but I must say my disappointment is immeasurable and I hope no one else has to go through such a untruthful experience.

Since Carmacks is small the location is perfect. Right next to the gas station and restaurant. Rooms are clean and nice and staff is friendly. Water has a smell to it but they advertise it on their website so it wasn't a surprise. TVs are very loud and volume 1 is more than what I normally watch TV at. Overall had a pleasant stay here.

Very friendly. Rooms are clean and decent size for the area and price. However if you have morning sickness like me, stay away from the water- bring bottled water. As theirs is well water and smells like sulphur. Pretty strong smell. Also be advised that their office hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. So if you have to leave early and you had to leave a cash or debit deposit you will have to either come back or wait till they open up to get it back. Minor set back for us. The gift shop has tons of stuff and isnt overpriced. Very comfortable little place.
