Academy Of Psychology Ottawa

Members of the Ottawa Academy of Psychology are psychologists and psychological associates working in the Ottawa area. They are registered to practice in Ontario and have fulfilled the standardized academic and clinical training requirements set forth by the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Some members may be working under the supervision of a registered psychologist or psychological associate during their post-graduate year of supervised practice.In these instances, clients are informed of their supervisory status. They are not listed in our Online Directory until they are fully licensed for autonomous practice.

Psychology is both a science and a profession. As a science, psychology can broadly be described as the study of human behaviour, emotion, and thought. It includes the study of personality, how people develop from early life through late adulthood, biological bases of behaviour, and how we as humans function and adapt within various contexts such as work, families, and social relationships.
