Services
The clinic was originally established by Dr. Rick Miller and Dr. Albert Bildfell in 1960. Dr. Don Kolenosky joined Dr. Bildfell in 1970 and they enjoyed a busy partnership until Dr. Les Byers and Dr. Ken Lawrence purchased the practice in 1986. In 2004, Dr. Byers left general practice, leaving Dr. Lawrence as sole owner.
Dr Ken Lawrence was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his BSc in Agriculture in 1980. Dr. Lawrence earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 1984 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he moved to Alberta where he worked in a mixed animal practice in Spruce Grove.

At your pet's annual check-up, you can expect a full physical examination by the doctor and time allotted to ask important questions about your pet's health.
Animals age at a faster rate than humans, so a lot can change with your pet's health in short period of time. Regular medical exams help ensure early disease detection and offer the best opportunity for successful treatment. Your dog's general body condition - whether your pet has an appropriate body weight and body condition (neither too fat nor too thin).
The Vegreville Veterinary Clinic offers comprehensive and accurate lab testing using our IDEXX Lab Station. This testing allows our Veterinarian team to assess your pet's blood to help diagnose any systemic disease. Routine fecal floats can diagnose your pet's parasite load. Any tests that cannot be performed in our clinic are sent to the IDEXX lab to complete a thorough evaluation of your pet's health.
