The clinic was originally established by Dr. Rick Miller and Dr. Albert Bildfell in 1960. Dr. Don Kolenosky joined Dr. Bildfell in 1970 and they enjoyed a busy partnership until Dr. Les Byers and Dr. Ken Lawrence purchased the practice in 1986. In 2004, Dr. Byers left general practice, leaving Dr. Lawrence as sole owner.
Dr Ken Lawrence was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his BSc in Agriculture in 1980. Dr. Lawrence earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 1984 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he moved to Alberta where he worked in a mixed animal practice in Spruce Grove.
