I wish I wrote a review when Dave owned Tasty, which is since it opened. Well over 20 years ago until mid/late 2021 (unsure exactly). Dave and his family retired a number of months back and there is new ownership. They immediately cut costs by cutting quantity. I estimate there is now 75% less cheese and 50% less pepperoni/salami. Dave's pizza was never short on toppings. We have lived in a few spots in Dartmouth and Halifax, eaten at many locally owned pizza shops including the coasts highest rated. There are lots of good pizza joints in HRM but regardless of where we went, nobody beat Dave's

We have been ordering from Tasty Pizza- Dartmouth for over a year and there was never a problem having our orders delivered to our address. We even tip extra because we know it sometimes could be out of the way for the driver. However, just now when I called, I was told that they did not deliver in my area. Not impressed!

Pizza was good but the owner took the order, it was my first time ordering from tasty and I asked a few questions about the pizza, at the end I asked how long it would be and he said 30 minutes and you kept me on the phone 30 minutes, our phone call was two minutes. Won’t be ordering again because of that

We have been ordering from this place over the past couple of years and orders haven’t been consistent (large and small). Their Donair’s have a decent weight based on the size ordered and pizza’s are good compared to a pile of other places we have ordered from in the past (both Halifax/Dartmouth sides).

I've heard a lot of hype about this place over the years, but since we don't live that close to it we never had a chance.
Well, finally we were in the area and got excited to order.
Meh.
The all-dressed pizza was fine, it looks nice, it tastes fine, I don't understand the excitement and hype. It was an average Nova Scotia pizza joint pizza.
The Donair eggrolls were a travesty. Maybe a teaspoon of meat in each one, and not even the good Donair meat. The cheap stuff that probably came in a pack.
Very unlikely to order again.

The owners of this business ATTACKED me while I was there. I had gone into this restaurant just before they were set to open but, their door was unlocked so I was able to walk in and they had no food at all available. This was at 1:30 pm on a Monday afternoon. So, while I waited for them to get the food out of the fridge, I went to use the washroom whereupon, I used the paper towel dispenser. This paper-towel dispenser has a lever that needs to be pulled down to get the paper out of the dispenser so I pulled on it. Well, apparently the man who owns Tasty Pizza doesn't like the sound of that

Granted we called on Boxing Day which is probably a busy day for them (they seemed to have a phone ringing in the background as well) but the service was terrible. We called to ask if they had any specials and the guy who answered the phone continually just kept snapping "what size pizza do you want?!" Instead of answering our question. When we couldn't get an answers to our question we politely said "ok, never mind, thank you" and instead of a response, just heard a click on the other end.
