Great customer service, great portion sizes and very quick. Very friendly and attentive while not overbearing. Waitress didn't miss a beat or a special instruction without writing anything down either.
We literally stopped randomly as my party of two was hungry and this place looked the best and now would recommend to anyone.

The food was awful. In hindsight we should've complained but we *felt bad* I got the chicken club burger and my husband got the beef deep with the soup of the day. I think my chicken breast was genuinely boiled. I've never had anything quite like it. The beef dip tasted.... Off. We're from out of town and I had heard wonderful things about Yavis's (probably just because it's old, not good) The food was trash and the service was mediocre. Definitely won't be back.

Very nice experience. They were understaffed and quite busy but they handled it very well. Food is solid, unpretentious fare. A family of 4 and we cleaned our plates! Service was fast and friendly. The manager/owner(?)was a delight. Please people, be kind to your resto staff, they work so hard for their wage.

We came in an 45 min before closing with six people on a Sunday. They had no problem sitting us. Thank goodness. It was the first time we had seen our friends since before lockdown. The service was fabulous and the food amazing. We all left full and thankful they were still open at 8 on a Sunday night. THANK YOU We will definitely come back next time we are in town .

We went to this restaurant because we saw lots of advertising in local tourist pamphlets and saw that they had all day breakfast** (after promising our kids pancakes or waffles for dinner from another place we didn't realize closed at 2pm).
After the initial disappointment of no breakfast being available for our kids, our sever kindly checked with the kitchen to see what they could do and they were able to make French toast and bacon for the kids which was SO lovely (which is why I've given any stars). Unfortunately the French toast tasted like garlic so my daughter wouldn't eat it. My husband

This restaurant is most definitely one that a person or family should make a point to stop at and fill that void in your stomach. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the menu service or the at home feeling you will get when you are there.
One of my new favorite hands down burger and fries I have very had come from out of a kitchen.😋

Was exactly as you would expect when ordering from the menu. I had eggs Benedict, which was good but very standard. Not overly small portions but not very large either. The only reason for 4 stars is due to the horrendous state of the washrooms. Like I couldn't take my 3 year old in there it was so bad. They were busy when we were there - maybe a staffing issue?

Surprisingly good. Not your run of the mill boxed food restaurant. There is a home touch to the preparation of the food. Honest and straightforward.

The lady server is very nice and kind!
We enjoyed our dinner tonight. The restaurant is cozy. I like those decoration we used to see them when we were a kid.
My little one loves his kid's meal. The soup is yummy, the garlic toast is amazing! The shrimps are great!
Wish you all have a wonderful Christmas ahead! We are just coming for a day trip to Drumheller. Wish we could visit again in the future!
We love the Christmas tree! I am just wondering what the owner will put in the middle if it is not Christmas time?

You're not escaping this place without two giant scoops of mashed potatoes.

I got there with two other people as soon as it opened and there seemed to be the regulars already at their seats.

We asked our server what to order and she said the veal cutlets.

The person I was with ordered French toast and two over easy eggs with bacon. It seemed fine. And he seemed to like the food. I noticed the yikes of the egg were like a pastel yellow and not a vibrant yellowish-orange. Seemed bizarre to me.

My veal cutlets came (pretty much) as pictures. I cut the veal with a butter knife. It was very

Service: Very friendly and attentive. The server told me about the specials and was quick to fill my water when it was low.

Atmosphere: It's a family run restaurant with a nice small town vibe. I went for lunch and the place was full, mostly with more senior folks. The menu is catered for all types of people from children to the elderly. Nice and spacious place to dine.

Taste / Value for money: I opted for the rainbow trout entree, although there was a lasagna on special for $14.95 with dessert included! The fish was deep fried and tasted nice when dipped into tar tar sauce - I mean, what

After a trip to Drumheller we were starved and had limited sit down options suitable for families open. We enjoyed Yavis, the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and food was served timely.

Decided to try Yavis on the way out of Drumheller. It is a typical diner place with somewhat older decor. It was kind of dark when we came in and they eventually must have realized this because about halfway through our breakfast the lights were turned on.

Food is OK. We had breakfast so basically it is eggs, cheese and veggies or whatever meat you want to add to the menu. It was nothing special but nothing particularly horrible.

The service wasn't great honestly. Our server slammed our food and drinks down on the table and sounded kind of offended when we ordered our food or asked her

Solid family restaurant for lunch or dinner in Drumheller. 3.5 -4 stars is the general consensus of our group. Perfect for large groups, there's something for everyone. We ordered Poutine to start (came out late with the rest of our food). The cheese was shredded cheese and the gravy was okay. Also ordered the rainbow trout (tasty, with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes), hot beef sandwich (open faced with gravy)- dad said it was yummy. My sister ordered the monte cristo sandwich- it's dipped in egg and toasted, tastes like a savory french toast, definitely recommend. I ordered one

Good food. Have eaten here a few times, most recently breakfast. Had a long line up. Was good food and service once we got in. Nothing too special about the place, but typical diner food. It is nice to know that the restaurant has been there for over a 100 years! That's cool.

We were recommended to try this restaurant from the tourist info center. The food was good but the portions were not. The prices were too steep for what they were. The amount of spaghetti that came with the Veal Parmesan wasn't enough to fill the half of a regular sized bowl. The service was friendly and the washrooms were clean though.

Casual family-run stalwart for burgers, pasta & breakfast, plus a lounge with pool & video gambling.
I had the taco salad from here and the bowl that it came in usually its good but this one was not good!
The person who I was with got the baked lasagna and said it was pretty good!
I also got the lemonade to drink which isn't homemade or anything but is on tap and fine.

This is an excellent, inexpensive option for travellers and locals alike.
During a whirlwind trip, my boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch before heading back on the 4 hour drive home. I had previously ate at Yavis many years prior, but I am hard-pressed to remember any detail besides the fact that my family and I were impressed by the quality and cost.
Upon entering, the first thing you will notice is the lack of aesthetic. The odd signage hangs on the wall, but Yavis doesn't make an effort to dress themselves up.
The menu boasted an incredible amount of options. Rainbow trout, Greek

I came here for breakfast one morning. It wasn't super busy and I got seated pretty quickly. The menu (breakfast at least) was pancakes, french toast, bacon, eggs, etc. I got the hamburger steak and eggs, which is a hamburger patty, two eggs cooked anystyle, hashbrowns, and toast. The meal also came with a tiny orange wedge (I'm sure more for decorative purposes). The eggs I got sunny side up and they were cooked perfectly, and I really liked the hashbrowns. The hamburger patty was okay, but it was just a basic hamburger patty and I think next time I'd splurge on the extra $2 for

What an amazing find!! We are down in Drum and area for camping and wanted a cool breakfast place. We came here!

The service was FAST and friendly, coffee was delicious, and they have a good sized menu. I got bacon and eggs, my wife got French toast, and our friend got the Benny.

All were absolutely delicious! Tasted very fresh - including the English muffin for the Benny! Awesome.

Happy to recommend to other travelers and locals!

Traveling thru Drumheller on a day trip, came into restaurant with wife and 1 1/2 year old. Asked for a high chair and was told to get it myself, food arrived at table French fries where like ice, waitress put her hand in my wife's food to check the temputure when we sent it back to the kitchen both plates went back due to cold fries. Received dirty looks from both the waitress and the cook in the back. How dare we send back cold food and complain. Had to ask several times for water. The bathrooms are atrocious, used paper allover the floor in the woman's bathroom in the stalls and outside

I feel like these guys are terribly understaffed. It took a ridiculous amount of time for our food to get to us (and they completely forgot about bringing us the water we ordered until reminded), and all 3 of the overworked servers were running around trying to do everything at once.
However, even with more staff, the food at Yavi's would probably still disappoint. My spaghetti was overcooked with watery, tasteless sauce, and Dad's steak was tough and almost raw (he ordered it medium-rare). It was cooked to his liking after he sent it back, but it was still super chewy. Lastly, the salads
