Wentzell Engineering has built its forensic engineering business using only qualified and highly trained professional engineers. Our engineers are on the ground attending scenes to gather important data to allow them to develop and test hypotheses regarding origin and cause. We choose this model versus having the data collected by others only to consult with an engineer, when and if required, to assist in completing a file.
WEL has decades of experience working in Industrial, Marine, Oil & Gas and Commercial environments. We have not been limited to design and project management roles, rather we have also been performing hands-on troubleshooting and failure investigations on electrical, control, and instrumentations systems.
Our experts have spent numerous hours training on the latest techniques and software to be at the leading edge of the exciting and ever developing field of Traffic Collision Reconstruction & Analysis. Wentzell Engineering is equipped with the latest Bosch Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) hardware and software to image (download) data stored within the various supplemental restraint system electronic control modules for each of the covered vehicles.
Materials & Metallurgical services offered by WEL include the failure analysis of materials as well as metallurgical analysis support for our Fire Origin & Cause Investigations. Our engineers have undergone extensive training and have over 25 years of experience.
We will investigate the failed component in the field, whether it's a machinery/equipment failure or fire, or simply provide analytical services for evidence/items sent to our facility for examination in our metallographic laboratory to determine the significant features and points of interest for more in-depth metallurgical investigations.

A Professional Engineer with nearly 12 years experience ranging from design to forensics in industrial, commercial, residential and motor vehicle environments. He regularly conducts Fire Origin and Cause investigations, Mechanical and Electrical Appliance Failure Analysis, Plumbing Systems analysis, Heating System Examinations, Vehicle Accident Analysis/Reconstruction, 3-Dimensional Solid Modeling and Finite Element Analysis.
