Albion Hotel Bayfield
In the heart of the small, lakeside town of Bayfield you'll find The Albion Hotel. Beaming with country-style perfection, The Albion has four quaint and comfortable Bed & Breakfast accommodations as well as a friendly dining room and inviting pub. Our dining room is even more peaceful, with its homey decor and wood-paneled walls.

We offer a range of entrees, from elegant cuisine to just what you'd expect on the dining-room table of an old country home. The Albion has been a country-styled favorite of vacationers for over 140 years, and will be a favorite for generations to come. So come out to The Albion, and learn what "A Taste of Country" really means.
Services
The Albion has been operating as a hotel for over 145 years. Current owner Kim Muszynski bought the hotel in the 1980s and with a little help from the Ministry of Culture and Communications performed extensive renovations, giving guests modern amenities while at the same time keeping the original Georgian Colonial architecture intact.
You might be rising early from a great night's sleep. Maybe you're looking for a hearty supper. Or perhaps you're just hankering for an evening snack. Whatever the case, The Albion Hotel has food for you. Full entrees start coming out at 5:00 every afternoon, but appetizers, salads and sandwiches are served all day and evening long.
The Albion Hotel is a taste of country and country's past. Our building itself is a relic from almost a century and a half ago, and we've kept that feel with restoration projects and antique country furnishings. But there is another relic from the past that, even if we wanted it to, just won't go away.

Staff was great, but the food was very disappointing. We made bad decisions in ordering the ahi tuna bowl and the Bahn Mi bowl. Both lacked flavour and were poorly presented. The fish and chips and burgers at the other tables looked great!

Went here on a night out with my friends and the verdict on the food seemed to be that it was between average and decent. I wasn't super blown away by my chicken tacos. We all ordered drinks from the very various drink menu and that honestly was the best part of my meal! I really liked the dirty Shirley I ordered.

I love this place. The pub and food is quite charming. I was here this past Sunday to check out Lake Huron and seeing how insufferable it was for photography that evening. I made a quick escape to The Albion and sat next to the fire place witch was quite inviting. The food here is really good. At some point I would like to the soup they have here. Even in the winter it's nice. But I do enjoy coming here in the summer. The place is a fixture to Bayfield.

Visited here today after shopping up and down the Main Street of Bayfield ,

It's so Hot outside that we elected to go inside instead of sitting on the friendly viewable people watching porch

Nice old bar , seemed like local regulars keep the bar seats full . We both had very nice fish and chips which was great , lots of fries and good creamy thick tasty tartar sauce .
We started with great buffalo sauced cauliflower bites

Burgers past our table and looked awesome too . There is a few big screen tv on walls and World Cup soccer was live today
See you again 4sure

Enjoyed a nice meal on a Saturday evening with a storm coming. We sat outside and when the rain came we moved closer to the awning with a friendly group...very welcoming to us Americans. My wet burrito was fantastic!

The place is nice but the food is mediocre at best. They don't really have a hot sauce, you have to ask for a special order, this takes 10mins. I've been here 3 times, each time has been nothing special. They don't have pickled eggs & the beer draught selection is all vanilla, no IPA's here, hope you like Budweiser & pabst blue ribbon

Nice spot for lunch. The staff were friendly and prompt. Food was good. There were more than 1 item for the pescetarian in our group to select from. Any special requests were accommodated. I would definitely return for another visit. Wing night is Thursday, all you can eat fish and chips on Friday night, prime rib dinner Saturday night.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night with 7 in our party (5 adults - 2 kids). We had to sit on the patio because they were totally packed with reservations.

The staff were decently nice, but our waitress barely smiled. She was clearly stressed, but she was by no means rude.

Considering how packed they were, the food came out decently fast, although the kids meals came out almost 10 minutes after the adults food. They were starving, and I found this lateness a little weird considering it was just chicken and fries.

The deal of the day that I got was unlimited fish and chips, for the price

Loved our stay at the Albion this past weekend and would definitely stay there again. We stayed in room #4 which was quiet and private, very clean and cozy and air conditioned. The staff was so friendly from the moment we arrived and were very accommodating with our dog. Since we had our dog with us, we ordered dinner from the restaurant and the staff brought it to our room... The food was amazing - really delicious. Continental breakfast was simple (croissants, toast, fruit, cereal) but great.

FYI there is a tv in the common room down the hall but no tv in the hotel rooms; no phones either

Please note that the Albion Hotel encompasses both a hotel AND a restuarant; we ate at the restaurant, so the score is based solely on that.

While staying at the cottage on Lake Huron, we traveled into nearby Bayfield for dinner. Unfortunately, our first choice (Black Dog Bistro) was closed randomly for the evening, and the main option available was Albion Hotel.

I'd give a solid 2.5 if it was an option.

The service was friendly, but the food leaves much to be desired. The menu is fairly standard small town fare - I opted for chicken strips (which came with plum sauce - in a plastic cup
