Services
The Guenette Funeral Home was founded by Charles Guenette in the early 1930's. He received his Ontario license at the Canadian School of Embalming in Toronto in 1934. Five of Charles's children worked with him, Francois, Jean-Jacques, Jacqueline, Maurice and Paul, operating funeral homes in Kapuskasing, Hearst, and Timmins as well as a hardware store, a lumber yard and some other small businesses that Charles had established in the area.
As a full-service funeral home, we are committed to providing personal, professional service to meet every family's individual requests, customs and circumstances, and we do so with pride. Throughout history, burial has been a common practice in human communities, large and small; around the world.
We are a bilingual, independent, locally owned and operated funeral home that has been serving Kapuskasing and area for over 80 years. In addition to providing a variety of services to the community such as burial, cremation, and funeral services, we also sponsor an in-house library, as well as online resources, for those grieving the loss of a loved one.
We are fortunate to have friendly, compassionate, highly skilled, and dedicated staff members who are committed to ensuring that all of your needs are attended to. Whether it is a licensed funeral director or a member of the support staff, we believe it is important for you to feel comfortable with all the people you meet at our funeral home.
The funeral is an important opportunity to pay tribute to someone you love. It is a time for relatives and friends to gather, to tell stories, to share memories, to acknowledge your loss and support one another. We are open-minded in providing a more personal arrangement to suit your needs and reflect the life of your loved one.

It's a great site to find out about who passed away because it's the fastest way to get that information and when the service will be held. Thank you.
