Diabetes causes your blood glucose levels to spike, which can cause a multitude of complications to your body. Additionally, without proper management and regular examinations, it can negatively affect the health of your eyes. High blood glucose levels can damage the blood vessels in the back of the eye, causing them to swell and leak.
