We were driving down the highway when the splash shield half way fell off our Civic and was scrapping against the pavement. The angle that it fell was concerning and we didn't want to risk anything happening so we decided to go to the closest mechanic and ask for help.
As we were driving 25MPH with the 4 ways on, a Sheriff stopped to check on us and helped tie it up enough that we could make it to a mechanic. So shoutout to Pittsboro Sheriffs Dept!
When we got to Doug's they not only agreed to help us without an appointment or anything but they took another car off the lift to get us in and out

Did not love getting hit with the forced $43 Nationwide tire warranty on my tire purchase. I should have asked for a printed quote at the time of booking the appointment (my bad). When I picked up my car---after paying and seeing it on the receipt, I went back in to ask about the charge and was told, "it's built into our pricing because we have so many problems with people coming back and blaming us when they get a nail in their brand new tire." I asked if I'd be able to opt out in the future, and was told "no." I'll definitely be opting out of all future services for our vehicles.

First time using them and very impressed. They replaced some ATV tires for me that I fought with for a while. Turned out the rims had rusted inside. They cleaned the rims up and mounted the new tires. I will definitely be returning for some work on my truck in the near future.

Doug might be the nicest mechanic I have ever met. The service is always top notch, but he also never pushes anything unnecessary and treats me with a great amount of respect. On one particular occasion, he worked with me to figure out what had been done on my car at another mechanic's and then collected all the information to put in his and my records, all so that I wouldn't have to repeat anything and could have a history of work done on my car. Great guy, great service.

So glad I found this place especially when I most needed a trustworthy repair shop! Tonya and Chris are lovely and very professional people! Chris was very informative and honest about my car’s needs and really involved me in the process. (This is a ++ as in my experience many mechanics don’t do this!) The technicians really care about their work and are very experienced in what they do. The price for the quality of service I needed was unbelievable and fit within my budget. I not only highly recommend this shop but I know that I will be returning for further services and wholesome advice!

I drove about an hour South from home, to Pittsboro (NC), this morning to pickup a piece of farm equipment. When I arrived, I found the left-rear brake on my F-250 truck to be SEVERELY overheated, almost on fire. Unfamiliar with the area, I asked the farm equipment mechanic for a reference. He sent me a couple blocks away to Doug's Auto. I limped the truck over to Doug's, with two German Shepherds in the back, and Doug was kind and sympathetic enough to pull one of his mechanics off an existing job to troubleshoot my brake problem. I have taken my car here a couple of time and I have to say, what a pleasure it is to find an honest auto repair shop left. The owner Doug has to be the only honest mechanic I have found in my life. They fix what you came to get fixed and guess what? It was fixed! Didn't have to go back to keep spending money on the same problem over and over. They know what their doing and do a good job! When was the last time you could say that about any repair business. I will continue to go here no matter what. Thanks Doug.

Had been given recommendation for service by dealer that I did not need, and they overlooked serious problems that did need addressing.
Went to Doug's based on reviews and I am now a very happy customer. They took the opposite tack and let me know I did not need what the dealer was pushing and instead took care of the problem with a simple alignment.
---UPDATE---
Have now been to Doug's Auto and Tire three times, and unlike a lot of places, NOT for the same reason! I've now bought tires and also a differential/transmission service that corrected an issue common to Honda AWD vehicles

Doug is a fantastic guy and a great businessman. The company has the highest standards in ethics and a great personality. The services have always been fairly priced and done with high quality. Doug is fanatical about offering new and unique services such as a new Rewards program! Who ever got reward points from a mechanic?? He also mentioned he is launching a new program to help people like me remember (get gently reminded of) their license plate renewals! Thanks for the Value-Add Doug - that alone should save me $$$ in late fees!!
