Not rotating your tires can be a major cause of your tires needing to be replaced faster than you may have expected. It is recommended that you rotate your tires every 10,000 kilometers or at the recommended times provided by the manufacturer. Vehicle manufacturer's today recommend oil change intervals anywhere from 6000 km to 15000 km.

Total disappointment! My appointment was made a week ahead of service to replace 4 tires. I was told the work would take an hour. I dropped my car off, was told again it would be ready in an hour. I came back to the shop and my car had not been moved from where I had parked it. When I asked why new tires had not been placed on my car their was no answer other than they would do the work now.
No thanks, my time is valuable even if you don’t think so.

Excellent service and quick turnover! Took my car in after having it looked at by another mechanic where they quoted me $2330 - J Petersen was able to do the work for $1000. Ensured my older vehicle is running well, is safe and reliable for me to drive. Very knowledgable, friendly and helpful - cannot recommend these guys enough! Thanks again!

Huge 5 star review for J. Peterson Auto Centre, I'll never take my car anywhere else while living in Vancouver. I had an issue with my car for over a year and had taken it to multiple mechanics who gave me varying quotes but never seemed to be sure what was actually wrong with my car. They said they'd "try" to fix it and quoted me somewhere around $2000.

Totally worth it. Price and service are excellent. We bought 4 tires for my SUV. Tony is an excellent salesperson! He ordered the tires right away, gave us a call when they arrived and at the moment of install them, (Plus he helped us with the security stud on the wheels!) they were super fast and punctual.
I highly recommend Tony and Big O Tires.

Dropped my wheels off to get new winter tires put on and after I picked them up I see circular scratches on 3 of my 4 wheels. I didn’t notice when I was there getting them back (possibly they used something to cover it up or the scratches became more oxidized and then were more noticeable) but the wheels haven't had anything done to them since so it seems probable they were damaged during the tire mounting or balancing.
In any case look at the picture and ask yourself if you want your wheels to look like this.
Note that indeed all 4 wheels where affected, but the 4th seems to be surface damage

Yelp has their algorithm all wrong and they should look in to resetting it! When one searches for the best mechanic in Burnaby J Peterson Automotive should be number 1 if not in the top 3!
John is your down to earth honest hard working mechanic who will take care of your car as if it were his own.

Should have wrote a review years ago. Been going to John for a few years with my old truck, and John is beyond helpful, professional, and the most genuine and trustworthy mechanic I've ever been to here in Canada or back home. Couldn't recommend him highly enough. Never does any work without asking, only does work that is definitely needed but gives options of things that might need looking at. Price and service is awesome! Wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else

Now I know why Big O Tires' name pops up on top when you search for tire repair in the area: They are simply the best in the business this side of town.
I went there even without an appointment and was quickly accommodated by a technician who was friendly, courteous and professional. The service was fast and efficient, and I was on my way in less than 40 minutes! Now that's great customer service!

I had a patch in my tire and went to Mr.Lube first, they told me is unfixable and getting a new one will cost me 354. Then I found this place and the service is just simply awesome and wonderful. Chris is super nice and other staff members are also very friendly. Finally they fixed my tire and it only took me around 30mins. The cost is around $35 which really saves me lots of money. I highly recommend this place for their great service for both vehicles and coustumers.

I've been going to John's for about 20 years now and have always found him to be fair, honest and professional. If it doesn't need replacing, he won't replace it. If it fails prematurely, he'll replace it under warranty. It can be tough to find a good mechanic but I did. I have no problem referring friends to him.
