Horst Theiner founded H.Theiner Painting & Decorating in 1967, serving residential homeowners from his Etobicoke home office. As the GTA grew, so did Theiner. Today we have a team of technicians and specialists who can handle everything from house painting to large commercial projects, a large shop where we do custom cabinet spraying and electrostatic painting, and an industrial painting department with expertise in everything from tricky scissor lifts to machinery painting.
With almost 50 years of residential and commercial painting for thousands of clients in the GTA, we've built our business on providing reliable, high-quality service at reasonable prices. Many of the clients we work with today are the children - and grandchildren - of clients Horst worked with years ago.

Services
Today, almost 50 years later, we're still painting homes - but we also paint stores, offices, industrial spaces, machinery. In fact, chances are that if it can be painted it, we've probably painted it. With a large shop, specialized equipment like scissor lifts, certified technicians and a reputation as a family business for two generations, we can tackle just about any painting job.
The best way to find out whether a painting contractor is as good as they say - and as good as their word - is to talk to other clients who have worked with them in the past. That's why we're always happy to provide you with the names and contact information of real people you can talk to before you engage us.
For almost 50 years, we've provided high-quality interior painting to some of the most beautiful homes in Etobicoke, Toronto and the GTA. Our specialty is helping your home look 'interior designed', without the cost of an interior designer. But what our clients really love is that we do what we say we will, when we say we will - and with minimum disruption to their daily lives.
Over the past 40+ years, we've painted all kinds of commercial spaces - from dealerships to amphitheatres to downtown buildings - across Etobicoke, Toronto, Mississauga, the GTA and throughout Ontario. We're known for being able to manage almost any job, no matter how complicated: With painters who are scissor-lift/boom-lift certified, experienced supervisors, and specialized equipment, we know how to get the job done right, on time - and safely.
Theiner is one of the few painting contractors in Etobicoke, Toronto and the GTA with the ability to deliver electrostatic painting on-site. Electrostatic painting is an application process in which the paint is electrically-charged and sprayed on a grounded substrate. This delivers a factory-smooth finish with minimal overspray.

I made a call for a quote on Wednesday. I was told I would receive a call back. I didnt receive a call back. After 2 days (Friday) I called again for a quote. I was passed on to someone. I explained what I was looking for and was told "we are not painting filing cabinets at this time" with no apologies. I was caught off guard and paused for a moment and the gentlemen continued with "ok?" and then rush me off the phone.
This is a very poor first impression for a potential customer. I'am not at all impressed with their customer service /sales approach. I can't rate them on the quality of their work

I've worked with Eric for several years now on different projects, and I have recommended him to several of my friends and family for both residential and commercial work (he's particularly good when you need someone to paint/repaint a small or mid-sized office quickly and with the minimum lost productivity for your employees). I've also had the opportunity to see some of the really high-end work he does with architects - it's beautiful!
Overall, a painting contractor you can trust, who has a large enough team to manage almost any job.
