I have been working in Cape Breton in the Port Hood area for 8 weeks now and stay here. Excellent staff, nice clean rooms very quiet stay. They have a pool and gym and a great restaurant. Food is excellent good size portions at a fair price..wings are great and the waitresses are fantastic. Highly recommend if your staying overnight in this area

We arrived around 10 pm on our check in date and we booked 3 rooms for 10 people more than 1.5 months ago however upon arrival front desk said they had no booking under our names and the hotel was at full capacity. We booked through expedia.
They said since it was done through expedia somehow it didn't get updated in their internal system. We had to wait 1.5hr until they were able to find us another hotel ONLY after one of us actually found the hotel and provided the name to make the relocation. There was NO manager on duty to help us and find a solution much quicker.
It was a terrible experience

Great location near stores and restaurants. Onsite restaurant Miller's is great. Free parking and dog friendly. Room was a good size and had a decent sized refrigerator with a freezer. Able to store groceries and drinks. Staff were friendly and gave us great recommendations to visit on Cape Breton Island.

The staff were great. The rooms quiet and comfy beds in a good room but someone or a few people were smoking in a room across the hall when we came in at 10 pm. The smell filled the hallway. They should get guests to sign the no smoking agreement that most hotels have. I told the fellow at the desk. Not sure how it was dealt with but the smoke still seemed bad a half hour later. It was in our room.

The room was ok, clean and calm at night. The swimming pool was a disaster. If you look at the reflection of the windows in the pool you can see a huge amount of hair floating. The pool close for 30min a day to get clean and it's is clearly not enough. On a side note people parked their extremely loud motorcycles right on front of are room and desired to start them up at 6am the next morning and let them warm up for 20min before going. Not really the motel's fault but a very unpleasant experience none the less. Maybe the motel could ask motorcyclist to park away from other guests windows, especially

A rare find in an ocean of mediocre hotels in the area. The room was a good size, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We took advantage of a dip in the pool in the morning before we checked out. I would recommend this place to anyone who needed to ensure a good hotel stay and a good night's sleep. The Steak and Eggs breakfast at the restaurant was also top notch.
