The Hi Rock Inn is located in Elkford British Columbia, Canada. Elkford is a remote but beautiful alpine village situated on the highest range of the Canadian Rockies, known as the Elk Valley. The average elevation of the Elk Valley is 1800m. Two layers of blankets are required, even in mid-summer to sleep comfortably at night.
Elkford is hidden deep in the Elk Valley, at the very end of Hwy 43. It is 35km north of Sparwood, 67km from Fernie, 53km from the Alberta border, and 97km from the US border to Montana. The road ends and the stream starts in Elkford! There are no roads through Elkford. The only way back to civilization is to turn your vehicle around.

The Elk and the Fording River System provide over 150 km of unsurpassed fly fishing north of Elkford. Westslope Cutthroat, Bull, and Rainbows are abundant. Cutthroat can reach 20 inches and Bulls up to 15 lbs. With an elevation ranging as high as 1,800 metres and an average annual snowfall of nine metres, Elkford offers a range of riding experience.
