We had ordered for a cat theme birthday cake for our daughter's birthday last year. The cake was super soft and fresh. We loved the flavor. It was vanilla with Strawberry icing. This year, we ordered a dog theme one. Nobody could have done it better than R Bakery. It was a black forest with loads of cherries stuffed in the layers. The team was very helpful in deciding the flavor, the size and ensures a seamless transaction. We highly recommend this place.

We love everything about Bakery. It's so nice to have a Café with great quality products in our neighbourhood. The bread is made fresh everyday and they make awesome sandwiches. The porchetta is our favourite. It just depends on the person making it. Its usually great and generous portions, but this time we only got 2 small slices of peppers on our sandwiches that barely covered half of it. We're happy to pay the .75cents per topping, but we felt like our girl really skimped out on us today. Fantastic bakery
R Bakery is a staple in the Marlee community. Fresh breads, amazing sandwiches, and a large hot table selection you can't go wrong stopping by for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Let me tell you, I had the strudel from R Bakery and I was back the next day to buy more! It is by far the best I've had in the city.
If you're in the area you should check it out!

R Bakery cafe delivers amazing quality every time! They kept running their business despite all the challenges during pandemic and we loved the opportunity to sit on their patio and enjoy 2 espressos and 2 cakes (Japanese and Tiramisu) last day before the third lockdown. We are really looking forward to Toronto’s reopening and next opportunity to sit down here.
In the meantime, you may come here every day and take out amazing pastries, very tasty bread (we love their buns and focaccia bread with olives), cooked food, sandwiches and phenomenal cakes.

Employees are unprofessional and extremely discriminating.
the working environment is so dirty that the non english speaking staff is clueless to the sanitation and safety practices set by the provincial safety standards.
when confronted of blatant in your face violations such as opening your purchases sticking their faces into and hand counting bread at the register while handling dirty money all day while also working in the cross contamination at the deli slicers that all cuts of meats are sold from the same machines with not so much as a wipe down between usage, no sanitation station

Best bakery in the area. They are open early and have tonnes of freshly baked goods.
It's tiny and a decent variety of breads, deli, other prepared meals, and coffee.
Staff is quick.

The meals look all freshly cooked for the lunch crowd. Offerings sit below a heat lamp throughout the day so don't expect a five star dining experience. However, everything I tried was delicious and homey. I had the braised pork which was incredibly tender and very well spiced with just a bit of a kick. One meat and two sides (your choice of pasta, rice or vegetables) comes out to 7.99 for a generous serving.
Also tried the chocolate cupcakes
