Our Optometry Clinic in Stoney Creek has six doctors: Dr. George De Rubeis, Dr. Michael Starcevic, Dr. Amy Reid, Dr. Kristin Person, Dr. Jeff McAlear and Dr. Felicia De Rubeis to assess your vision. All of our doctors are experienced and trained to diagnose, treat and manage all diseases and prescriptions of the eye.
An eye examination is covered by OHIP once a year for persons under 20 and those 65 and over. OHIP also covers a major eye exam once every 12 months for persons aged 20 - 64 who have medical conditions requiring regular eye examinations such as diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, cataract, retinal disease, amblyopia, visual field defects, corneal disease, strabismus, recurrent uveitis or optic pathway disease.
The Doctors of Optometry at our office are trained in the proper fitting and follow up of all our contact lens patients. We assure the contact lenses are fitted properly. We also diagnose and treat all possible contact lens complications that might arise with contact lens wear. We fit and assess many types of contact lenses on all our patients.
The Doctors at the Optometry Clinic of Stoney Creek will provide a high standard of primary eye health and vision care. The Optometrists are trained to provide services in the areas of urgent eye care, children's vision, seniors' vision and disease diagnosis, treatment and management. We have the skills, technology and expertise to detect and treat eye conditions.
We take pride in providing our patients with the latest and most up to date styles of optical eyewear available. Our eye care team will help you find a great looking frame that will help you look your best. Our in house laboratory and optometric assistants will fabricate all spectacles to exacting standards.

Had to order replacement frames for safety glasses was told $59 and one week to get them delivered. I get a call 12 days later and told the price is now $79. I informed them i wouldnt have paid that so they offer $10 off. I couldnt believe it. Made me wait an additional 5 days for the wrong price then insult me over $10? Train your staff better on pricing and honour your word. My advice is get a quote in writing or an email sent. Lesson learnt.

I was referred to the Optometry Clinic of Stoney Creek by a close friend and finally decided to make an appointment. Upon first impressions, the lady at the door was very polite, offered me some hand sanitizer and asked me a few questions that were covid related. I thought it was lovely to see them following protocols and doing their part to ensure everyone's safety. Once I was inside, the receptionist was very friendly and got my account all set up. I did not have to wait long before I was called in to do my eye exam, which was done on time. This was convenient for me as I had to go back to work

I had an appointment in June 2020. I felt so comfortable because this office was so clean and has many protocols in place to protect from COVID-19. I never felt that I was at any risk at all. Dr. Felicia De Rubeis was very patient and informative, she explained things to me in detail so I could understand. The staff helped me choose the perfect pair of glasses.

First time here, I came in to see Dr. George De Rubeis for what turned out to be a scratched cornea. End to end a fantastic experience, from the front desk staff finding me a quick appt to leaving with a prescription and dark plastic shades to protect my dilated pupils. George was both professional and friendly and didn't rush anything. Coming back for my next eye test even though it's less convenient than where I've gone before.

Dr. Felicia DeRubeis is amazing. She makes you feel very comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend this facility to anyone needing advice on anything to do with vision. They have a fantastic selection of eyewear and the staff is wonderful. Not your normal eye doctor...they have a way of treating you like special guests.

Although my husband is the owner of the practice of 28 years, he is passionate about individuals’ eye health. He uses evidenced based practice collaboratively with ophthalmologists and family doctors and is affiliated with McMaster University. Dr. George uses advanced technology, including an OCT machine that ensures the back of the eye is healthy. The whole clinic works hard to promote eye health and they all are amazing!

Display of glasses are easy to navigate and there's mirrors everywhere to get a good look. Waiting room is a fair size and has educational videos playing and toys to keep the younger ones occupied. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. I always feel at home here. The one doctor I'm never afraid to visit!
