Services
Short or long term stays are welcome at Shelter Bay Resort. With all the amenities we provide, such as heated washrooms, showers and coin laundry, it'll be hard to leave. We're located along the scenic highway on the east coast of Vancouver Island, just south of Campbell River. There's a lot to do just a short distance from the resort: Stories Beach Golf Course is a prized destination for avid golfers.
We have three brand new, west coast inspired apartments for rent. Beautifully decorated and custom designed each suite has unique, original artwork and carvings. Complete with all amenities including an outdoor kitchen and barbeque area for each unit. Whether you're joining us in the summer or winter you'll be comfortable and have everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

This campground used to have quite the atmosphere back in the 80s-90s. It was was full of Americans that had come up to fish for Salmon, all with CB handles like "The Mayor", "Silver Fox", "Wounded Knee", "Salty Dog", "Cracker Jack", "Big Dud", "Wounded Knee" with the occasional Canadian "Prairie Rattler". It was always well kept and tidy with laundry and shower facilities. Across the highway there were numerous boats sitting on logs that were lifted in and out of the water with a seasoned forklift(gone for some time
