The Society is a Licensed Early Learning and Child Care Service. It is our goal to encourage families and the community to work together for the benefit of young children. The Agency provides consultation, training, support and information to their Educators through home visits, telephone contact, provision of resources and individual training plans.
We select all our Day Home Educators according to Government requirements set down by the Alberta Ministry of Children Services. Our Society contracts with Day Home Educators who are truly interested in providing high quality care for children.

The ASQ is a simple activity questionnaire that you will do with your child. It is designed to monitor a child's development from birth to 5 years of age. Parents can begin the program at any time prior to their child's 5th birthday, and participation is entirely voluntary and at no cost. The ASQ looks at strengths and trouble spots, educates parents about developmental milestones, and incorporates parents' expert knowledge about their children.
Families have access to child care subsidy, along with information and referrals regarding community services available to them and their children. Day Homes offer developmentally appropriate curriculum for the children in their programs. Each Home is unique in their philosophy, and all efforts are made to assist parents in finding a day home that best suits their child care and early education needs.
To learn about the Child Care Licensing Regulation and Family Day Home Standards Manual for Alberta, or to find more child care resources, visit the Alberta Children and Youth Services website. Once sent home from the child care program, your child will not be allowed to return until the program receives a note from your child's physician or your child has been symptom-free for at least 24 hours.
Agency staff arrange on-going training for our day home educators in a variety of ways including: in their homes, at monthly meetings, conferences, and in office training opportunities. Our Family Day Home Educators are expected to achieve, at a minimum, their Child Development Assistant Certificate within one year of contracting with the Agency.
