The Gables Motel is a wonderful location to unwind. Richard was really welcoming and hospitable. The rooms are luxurious and equipped with everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the heating system worked flawlessly. Overall, I had a wonderful night's sleep. Look no further if you're in Radium Hotsprings!

The little luxuries of a hotel but in a motel. Warm and clean. The linens are white and clean. Kurig coffee makers with ceramic cups and silver spoons. The towels are plentiful and the cloths are folded fancy. They even put chocolate on the pillows. The staff was extremely helpful and showed me to my room and offered to help with the bags.

For what it is, the Gables Motel is wonderful. The gentleman who lives on site (I didn't catch his name!) was incredibly hospitable. This especially shown through when there was an issue with our booking at check-in, and booking.com was not willing to help. You truly couldn't ask for a better location, and the heat in the room works incredibly well. There was a Keurig with cream, sugar and Splenda. They sell items in the lobby, such as snacks, souvenirs, toiletries, and ice. Liquor store and grocery are a hop skip and a jump away!

Way too expensive for what they offer.
Room was cold and took forever to warm up (we are only in 0C temperature outside).
I have had much better and comfier room for the same price.
No breakfast included, very noisy as it is in front of a highly used road.
Bed of mediocre quality,
It is, in fact only a bed for a quick night of rest and nothing more.
My honest opinion, unless in a bad spot or in absolute need, find another place.
At a total of 140$ taxes in while outside season, it is way too expensive cor what you get.
On the plus side, the place is clean and friendly personel.

Unbelievable hospitality from Tom the owner and staff. Room was clean, crisp and friendly decor. Everything you need plus great view. Seating area with a bbq in a treed common area with beautiful busy street view. Felt like I was at my own cabin with help. Each room has outdoor table chairs nice touch. Gave it 4 only because extra traffic due to Hwy 1 detour noise kept me awake. Cozy comfy - bed some might like papa bear find it a touch too soft but for momma bear just perfect. Check with Tom re other family suites. I am solo traveler so all just perfect for me. Walk score is easy for single or

Clean, quaint and very friendly staff. Taking vacation in eastern BC, I decided to visit Radium Hot Springs again for several days. Decided to check in at the Gables and was greeted by a cordial owner, with a great sense of humour and always making sure that things were to my satisfaction. The room was clean, comfortable and the outside table and chairs made it for a very relaxing time; the multi coloured lights at night is a nice touch. Stayed for three days; enjoyed the view of the park across the road and walks to many downtown establishments. The Gables Motel has a wonderful well lit sign

Great owners, adorable little place. Room was big and clean. A little outdated, but they said they were updating it as they were able to. Beds were so-so, not great but I've definitely had worse hotel beds. Great location, love the sitting area out back. Rooms are very sound proof and the AC was very powerful (which was nice because it was very hot when we visited). Absolutely would stay again and recommend to everyone!

We have nothing but great things to say about this motel. The owner personally greeted us and led us to our room. He gave us the ins and outs of the Hot Springs and local food. The room was comfortable and inviting. Our dog enjoyed the stay as well. Really a beautiful place to stay and would recommend it to everyone.

Very comfortable clean rooms. The owners/staff were awesome. They brought out their beanbag boards for our kids to play with which was great to keep them busy. Very welcoming! Loved the rooms on the backside we stayed in room 16 and had access to a gazebo to sit in and a bbq to use. Highly recommend.

Booked online, got my confirmation.
Called a couple of weeks later to add extra days and was told they would not honour the reservation for the confirmed days and I would be charged significantly more.
When I asked when they planned to contact me to advise me that they would not be honouring my reservation was told "I'm telling you now".
When I asked "if I hadn't called when were you planing on telling me?" was told "I don't want you in my hotel" and she hung up on me.

I agree with Brian that the value is there. For such a reasonable price, there is a lot of pluses. there are a few minuses that do not outweigh the positives.
The list:
* With the extra $10 for our dog, it was still less than $100 a night (in March 2016)
* Water pressure in the shower was awesome
* Room was clean and well presented
* free wifi
* located right across from a trail, which was fantastic to walk the dog
* owner was a sweetheart and delightful
the con list
* bed was hard, much to the delight of my husband
* heat was electric which was hard to regulate
All in all you cant beat

I'm am rating this place a 5 star experience because of value. Its just a simple little motel, but the rates are really reasonable and the place is spotless. Off season rates are around $50, including free passes to the Hot Springs ($8 value) and the nice lady gave me free towels to take with me. The rooms are totally charming '60's decor that I loved- well maintained and totally clean. Nice sheets... even late check-out. I loved it. The owner couldn't be any sweeter. Come support her.
