It not only reduces the weight of the concrete, but also improves the thermal and sound properties. Adding fiber in the mixture enhance the quality of the product while minimizes the shrinkage cracks.
The weight can vary between 150 to 600 Kg/m3. The very common practice is 300 Kg/m3 that weights 15 Kg/m2 ( 3 psf ) for a 2 thich concrete. This is way lighter than normal concrete.
