Ron and Debbie Vanderzwaag made the decision to purchase the Oxbow Inn in the spring of 2005. From April until the end of June extensive renovations were made to 12 of the existing rooms and the exterior of the buildings. Over the next number of years, the remaining rooms were upgraded. It has always been our desire to provide rooms that include everything you need to be comfortable and more.
Our top priority is cleanliness which is why a manager checks each room after cleaning to ensure nothing is missed. Providing a great sleep is our business, so top quality mattresses and pillows are found in every room. Since 2005 we have enjoyed meeting the expectations of our customers and we look forward to doing the same for you.

Services
Carman Community Pathway winds its way throughout Carman. The pathway links recreation areas such as King's Park, the baseball diamonds, golf course and pool area. Away from traffic and totally surrounded by nature, part of the pathway features a scenic river path that follows the meandering Boyne River and passes by an area of restored tallgrass prairie.
Carman has too many businesses to shine a spotlight on them all. Travel down Main St. and around the block at Center Ave and 1st St. and you will find no shortage of great shops. Car broke down just outside the town, so I stayed here for 2 nights while it wss being repaired at at local place.The room was great, very clean, spacious for 1 traveler and their dog. Service was abysmal however. I arrived at 11pm saturday and they were open until 7am sunday. The night clerk was very unhelpful, he seemed too tired and too lazy to know how/care enough do his job properly which lead to a half hour check in experience when it shouldve been 10 minute job at most. The office door locked just about the second I dropped my bags in my room so that he could sleep. Thats fine because theres

A beautiful room in a quiet setting. Real flowers at each door entrance. The room was immaculate. The bed & pillows were beyond perfect! The evening lady that checked us in even recommended a restaurant for breakfast. She was extremely friendly & helpful to a stranger passing through.
An excellent night's stay and very restful. The room also had a fridge, microwave and keurig coffee maker. We will definitely be back. Excellent rates. The best hotel/motel in Carmen and surrounding areas. Lots of parking even for truck with a trailer.Thank you.
