Merry Pop-Ins

The purpose of our parent advisory committee is to create, inspire and lead mutually supportive relationships between families, educators, and the community, that enhance quality early childhood experiences and community connections. Committee members are self-nominating and the committee meets three times per year (September or October, January, and May).

The infants love to play and explore! Our educators do an excellent job keeping them entertained and getting them to explore different things. Infants: Birth to 22 months or until a 2 year old space is available. Full-time only (5 days per week). The infant room is open from 8am to 4:30pm. Parents bring formula/food, (unless infant is on table food and 2% milk) diapers and wipes.

We follow an emergent curriculum that is based upon the student's interest and passions as well as the educator's. To plan an emergent curriculum requires observation, documentation, creative brainstorming, flexibility and patience. Rather than starting with a lesson plan which requires a "hook" to get the children interested, emergent curriculum starts with the children's interests.

Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre - School Age Program provides activities, rest-times, and free-time appropriate to the time of day and the ages of the children. Children will feel that this is their "home away from home" and parents will benefit from the easy drop-off and pick-up location at Englewood School.

We currently have two after-school programs. One is run out of Englewood School in Crapaud, and one is run out of Somerset School in Kinkora.
