Hugh Munro Construction has been in business since 1959, starting out as a one-man, one-machine operation. Since then, it has grown into a prospering and viable business, employing approximately 100 full time employees and over 300 seasonal workers. The company has diversified by engaging in several aspects of the construction industry as well as being actively involved in buying, selling, renting and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles.

With 50 years of operating in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, the Munro Group of Companies has established a reputation for providing excellent client service and attention to detail. Services
Hugh Munro Construction's shop is run by a professional engineer with over 20 years of construction and project management experience. The success of our service department is based on qualified knowledge and expertise of personnel. HMCL continues to invest in maintaining it's fleet and is available to provide the same quality of service for the industry.
HMCL has 24 shop bays equipped to overhaul engines, transmissions, and differentials of all makes and models of heavy construction equipment. Certified mechanics maintain and repair trucks and trailers, adhering to strict safety regulations. They have the experience to repair heavy construction equipment of all types, makes and models.
Our trucking division is an arm of HMCL, servicing internal and external customers with both belly dumps and end dumps. FWL is a division of HMCL providing transportation of heavy equipment throughout Canada. Our experienced dispatcher leads a team of seasoned drivers with impressive safety records.
