We at BABB Security Systems are proud and delighted to be celebrating over 40 years in business as a local, family-owned and operated company. Lorne BABB first opened his doors at 436 Water Street back in 1976. A few years later he was joined by his youngest brother, Darrell. The business quickly expanded to include our base: a 5,000-square-foot office and warehouse located at 6 Vanguard Court in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Lorne looks back with fond memories of starting the business with his wife Arlene and having family join him. I guess it was my parents who motivated me to open my own business in the first place. My father was a hard worker, dedicated to our family and very independent. Even though he passed away when I was still a teenager, he was the one who instilled those same values in me.
