Physiotherapy is a multifaceted healthcare profession dedicated to helping people to maximize their ability to move throughout their lifespan. Physiotherapy is anchored in movement sciences, with a psycho-social lens to identify functional movement disorders that occur due to injury, illness, over use or under use and aims to enhance or restore function of multiple body systems.
Rehabilitation is the act of restoring something to its original state. The noun rehabilitation comes from the Latin prefix re-, meaning "again" and habitare, meaning "make fit.". This is a recent addition to our services. Kristen Riley has completed her Vestibular Certification through Emory University and Lori Janzen has completed her Vestibular Certification through the American Institute of Balance.
Pelvic Health concerns are far too common and rarely talked about. Many women suffer silently without realizing that there are effective, evidence-based treatment solutions that can significantly improve quality of life. Research has shown that Physiotherapists with specialized training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation should be the first line of defense, before surgical consideration, for incontinence.
