In addition, we carry specialty food, treats, supplements, toys and leashes for your pet's health and wellbeing. Are you going on vacation and you don't have anyone to look after your cat or pocket pet? We offer the option of boarding them with us, if it's just the day or the week ask us about pricing.

Fort McMurray has been my home for 40 years. It's where I found life, love, and opportunity. When I graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998, I wanted to be a Zoo Veterinarian, but I found myself in small animal medicine - I love helping animals and being a hero of animal health - keeping your family member happy and strong, or doing everything I can to get them back to a healthy state.
Puppies and kittens require need a series of 3 vaccines. They need their first one at 6-8 weeks old. They need a booster 3-4 weeks later when they are 10-12 weeks old. They need their last booster 3-4 weeks later when they are 14-16 weeks old, and they also get their rabies vaccine at that time. After they had their puppy vaccines, they get their vaccines annually.

Wood buffalo small animal hospital is very good with animal and trust worthy, but not have 1 month long wait time, and the appointments themselves take along time! Being more affordable with the food, and to actually be in the appoints with my pets would make it a 5 star. I would recommend this vet and i still continue to go back, but i would love to see some changes.

I've had nothing but great experiences with WBSAH. Every time I've dropped my little puppy off for shots or when he got neutered, they've always provided excellent service. Their love for animals really show. They've been very helpful answering questions and making me feel at ease with procedures to be done. I wholeheartedly trust them with my little one. I'm sad that I'm moving away and that they won't be my puppy's vet forever!

Best experience with a vet service in town. I called others and they couldn't get my dog in for 6-8 weeks unless i wanted to pay a $400 emergency fee. I scheduled the dog in here and they got her in within a week. I also got a prescription done over the phone no issues. Would highly recommend this place always friendly and easy to deal with.

We only have great things to say about our experience with the Wood Buffalo Small Animal Hospital! My husband and I have been taking our puppy, Mocha, to the WBSAH ever since we got her, and she has received nothing but the best care every time she’s there.
The communication with this hospital has been great! They have always been kind and have been respectful and courteous (even when we change our appointment dates multiple times -lol). Thanks to WBSAH Raine is back to her normal self! They were able to fit her into a last minute appointment and figure out her issues very quick (A horrible bladder infection). They answered all my questions and followed up with me a few days later. I highly recommend them! Thank you for helping my pup get better.

Harry is always well taken care of when he visits the WBSAH - emergency visits and last minute tech appointments sure come in handy when you have an active puppy who seems to find mischief where ever possible. Harry looks forward to the treats and attention from all the staff! We wouldn't trust his health and well being with a anyone else.
