Dr. Mah recognized that there was a need for a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics in the North Burnaby neighbourhood. The hard working, family and friendly oriented people of this area also attracted Dr. Mah to this community. With a family of three young children, Dr. Mah can relate to the concerns and needs of parents and children.

I previously had my orthodontic treatment completed by Dr. Mah and loved coming here so much, I wanted to work here!
Dr. Edward Mah was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and he graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. Dr. Mah studied general dentistry at Northwestern University in Chicago where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
After having enrolled in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of California at San Francisco, Dr. Mah earned his AEGD degree and travelled back east to study orthodontics at West Virginia University.It is at West Virginia University where Dr. Mah obtained his Orthodontic and Master of Science degrees.

The Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children be seen by an orthodontist at the age of seven. I would recommend Dr. Mah. I have TMJ and he was able to point out a few of the issues/causes of it and encouraged me to see a TMJ specialist. A previous orthodontist ignored my TMJ and if I had decided to get braces for aesthetic reasons would've given them to me anyway, likely making it worse, but instead of going for the money, Dr. Mah had me wait on the braces. I think he is a trustworthy orthodontist who seems very knowledgeable.

I have been here for about 10 years going on two phases to complete the straightening of my teeth, I can’t think of a better place to have had my treatment done than north Burnaby dental. The staff are very welcoming and caring, Dr.Mah is amazing at what he does and I couldn’t have asked for a better smile 😀.

Dr. Mah and his entire team are fantastic! Truly caring and very passionate about orthodontics. I got braces months before my wedding and Dr. Mah was very accommodating to give me extra appointments in order for me to get ready for the big day! His entire staff is wonderful... would highly recommend to anybody needing orthodontics!

When I first got my braces on I was scared not to lie but when I went home, I was sooo happy I got them and around dinner time, t didn’t hurt at all! The office is amazing as in homieness and the people in the whole building. The 2 wonderful girls at the front fest are so kind, nice and reassuring! Overall I absolutely love this place!
