Cleo needed constant care for a few months and the vets at St Lawrence were kind, compassionate, and they saved my girl. They have also treated one of my boys' urinary problems and I have always been very happy with all of the staff. Highly recommend!

Avoid this place at all cost! Zero compassion! Receptionist incredibly rude and hung up on me. My cat had not peed in almost 2 days and we had to rush him to Ottawa as Cornwall could not see him, understandably so as they were overbooked and understaffed. I spent 7 hours waiting in my car in Ottawa and they finally allowed him to go home but they forgot to put the special food in my bag. I contacted your office to pick up food as Ottawa said it would be no issue and I could not drive back and miss more work. You would not sell to me as my cat was not a patient. I was told by the vet in Ottawa that

Refused to sell/order specialized animal food required for my pets health/life. Gave me some excuse about extreme limited quantities (2 bags for whole clinic) offered by food production companies. Had to go to Quebec to get the pet food where puzzled vets confirmed no that such "rationing" exists.

This animal hospital did not advise me that they stopped after hour emergency care. I am a client and use this hospital for this reason. I had a major emergency and nowhere to go. Had they let me know I would have made a plan to ensure that my animals have somewhere else to go in case of emergency. I called other vets and they directed me to Alta vista in Ottawa who also no longer provide after hour emergency care. Irresponsible and unethical. I am taking my pets elsewhere. Hopefully they will be more transparent and honest.

They charged me for services that my pet did not need. My pet is in pain, they don't care and I would not trust anything they gave me anyway.

They have been wonderful with my Jack. My poor dog couldn’t walk with both his ACL torn. We tried calling many places but it was very difficult to even be seen because of the pandemic and we were getting quotes… of up to $25000. I decided to try Cornwall as this is we’re I grew up. They were absolutely wonderful. They took him in right away and treated him great. He now has both his legs done and is now able to run around like any other dog. This review does not come lightly as I have known Dr. Peter Tropea and his family my whole life and we have always brought our pets there for over 20 years. I am so disgusted by how shady and deceitful this place is after our visit there today! In June I was told I had to break-up all of my puppy’s vaccines every 2 weeks because they thought she… had a reaction and was charged multiple examination fees even though I was under the assumption I was just there for vaccines/boosters as they had suggested! AMAZING PEOPLE!
I am giving them a perfect score here. Every single person at this location has been super helpful and a few has even went out of their way and took the time to talk with me and answer any questions I had. Even if I did ask the same question in a different way. But they were all willing to help as best they could and they treated my dog Charlie very well. She loves it there. I was a worried dog dad when she went for her spay & chip surgery but again, they took the time to walk me through the recovery process no matter how many questions I had. Our Luna had a urinary block and the staff here got our fur child in within an hour! Could not be more thankful for all they did as well as put up with my check ins sometimes on an hourly basis. Such a caring and kind staff with a vet that goes above and beyond! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

During a very difficult time, they were not very understanding and refused to allow a payment plan to be made. I understand they have their jobs to do, but I also have more faith in people then I guess they do.

Thank you for the compassion today when we had to put our much loved cat Monty to sleep. Dr Smith was excellent and was very helpful on her phone calls to me about his condition. I’m glad my other two cats go… there for their healthcare. His passing was very peaceful and Dr Smith gave me all the time I needed to say my goodbyes. RIP Monty, I’ll miss you 💔

By far, the best veterinarian clinic. Awesome staff, and they don’t make you decide; your pet or your other bills.
I am a strong believer that do onto others as you’d like done onto you... and I must say they… ALL deserve some kindness from us.
I highly recommend this clinic for ANY of your pet needs, it might be far for you, however worth the trip!
