We were extremely pleased with our dining experience at Louie’s Bistro located in the historic Upham Hotel. I enjoyed the sautéed filet of sole and my husband dined on the delicious grilled filet with mushrooms and shallots. We loved our meals and Andy, our waiter, was so pleasant and attentive throughout our evening…many thanks for everything! We will certainly return for another exquisite meal!

I organized a group brunch of 27 people here and it was perfect. I worked with Bob on the initial details and met his son on the day of. We were on the veranda and the tables were set up nicely. The servers were great, very polite and efficient in getting us all seated and taking orders. The food was delicious! It was the perfect end to a very long weekend (family gatherings, am I right?).

Worst service ever, allergy scare, inconsistent food, mediocre and overpriced food, reminders needed for every server to assist our table. We came to have a celebratory night, but instead were run over with a train of disappointment. When we ordered our food, we specifically told the waiter I am highly allergic to peanuts. He told us he would double-check, but never came back to inform us. After ordering, we also asked for more bread, but waited for at least 30 minutes before having to ask again for more bread when our food came. Well, it's hard to compare this restaurant to others in Santa Barbara, but we are on a quest to try every place to eat in Santa Barbara. This place is amazing and should be on everybody's list of places to go. The ambiance is relaxing and elegant. The food is really creative and well thought out.
So far, this is the Punks favorite restaurant, I must say, she has great taste.
I had the Asian Stir Fry with vegetables and chicken, this is right up my alley. So fresh and good, the chicken had great flavor and texture.
They treat children with a warm welcome, which is appreciated for such an upscale
