Hamiltons of Pelham was opened in December of 2012 by my parents, Dick and Janet. They brought to Niagara a passion for art and unique gifts that could be shared with anyone. And when, in September of 2020 they decided that it was time to retire, the opportunity to purchase Hamiltons of Pelham and carry on the family business was a great fit.
It is not enough to see these globes in a picture--to get a true idea of their essence, one must see these globes up close! Constantly rotating, Mova Globes use a sophisticated motion mechanism powered by ambient light to drive the globe's continuous rotation. Our unique spinning globes combine power from ambient light and torque from the earth's magnetic field to create soothing rotations.

Heritage going back to the mighty civilization of the Minoans 4000 years ago, invests pride in today's potters of the Thrapsano region of Crete, creating pots and pithoi using traditional techniques, materials and designs from their Minoan ancestors.
The pots are made from local clays - carefully sourced form two different mountain areas - which are hand thrown on the wheel and then fired at 1150c using residue from the island's olive harvest to fuel the fire. These high temperatures guarantee quality. Originally the large pithoi were used for storing olive oil, wine, grain and honey etc whilst the smaller pots stored olives, pickles, cheese and salt etc.

As we are still in lockdown and shopped online I was greatly impressed with how they answered my telephone questions. Thrilled as well that they wrapped my purchased as it was a Birthday Gift. My friend loved the choice as well. Thanks for the guidance, much appreciated. Looking forward to returning again to your unique shop once the lockdown is over. Hamiltons of Pelham will be my first stop!

The item taken out of the display case was not damaged but when my gift was opened by the recipient it was slightly. The store owner had gift wrapped the item for me. This gift was in a gift box and was hand delivered and not mailed so it was definitely not damaged from purchase to delivery. I suspect Hamilton's replaced the display item with one that was in their inventory but were unaware this replacement from
