They have great seafood here! one of the best places to go for a variety of dishes, including cod tongues, scallops, pan-fried cod and, when in season, lobster and crab.

Best seafood chowder ever! And the fishburger! Two big pieces of pan-fried fish on a sesame seed bun, lettuce and tartar sauce. Mouth-watering! Friendly staff, awesome scenery right on the water!

Loved it - right on the ocean - great view and super friendly staff. Don't go to trout river and not stop in! I had fish sandwich and chowder - very good!

You don't have a lot of options for food in Trout River. Groceries can be limiting as well. It's all right but you don't really have a lot of options eating out in the area. The service was mediocre we had a grumpy lady who didn't seem to be in a good mood to serve.

Wow! What a setting for a meal. We had wonderful service, and the food was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Gros Morne. A bit off the beaten track, but well worth the drive.

Thought it was pretty expensive for okay food. I had their signature scallop dinner. The scallops were cooked and seasoned nicely, but pretty small. The rice that it was on was bland and gummy. Pretty sure it was minute rice. Most of the seafood is deep fried.
Not a bad meal by any means, and the restaurant has a great view. But the food is pretty mediocre for the price.

Very cute restaurant. You are greeted by the owner who is so enthusiastic and happy. She has her opening spiel where she tells about the history of the restaurant, which is cute. She is also very accommodating and helpful.
Food is well presented and fresh. Unfortunately it was a little bit small. Ie crabs didn't come with any starch. I'm not a big bread or potatoes fan normally, but you need something to fill you up since crab isn't the most filling.
However, overall great experience :)

Great food and stunning service. Bit pricey but didn't mind paying for the delicacy. The halibut seemed fresh caught and perfectly cooked while the chowder was creamy and delicious. Would recommend to everyone visiting Gros morne area!
