The Creston Golf Club was founded in 1954, when a group of local citizens formed a society, and purchased 100 acres of previously logged Crown land for $265. Alan Staples, the first president said, "That may not sound like much, but we had a hell of a time raising the money".
That about sums up the gradual development of the Creston Club, heavy on volunteerism, with much support from the community; accomplishing minor miracles with local ingenuity and limited resources.Local engineer Vaughan Mosher donated his time to design the original course and many volunteers helped build 9 holes, carved out of the bush, with sand greens, completely ready for play in 1962.

Services
The Creston Valley Golf Club is known as one of the finest competitive venues in golf and has carried a storied history since its inception in 1954. It is surrounded by farmlands and forest. The course is playable for every level of golfer, from novice to expert. With short distances between greens and tees it is a great walking course, offering brisk exercise with gradually changing elevation on both nines.
The Creston Golf Club is a Par 72 and playable from a variety of tees ranging from 5320 to 6508 yards. This professionally designed course has been carefully laid out to provide enjoyable golf and spectacular scenery to all types of players, from the novice to the highly skilled. Please choose the tees that suit your ability level to make your day most enjoyable.
Hole #1 - A great chance to start your round with a birdie. A strong drive up the left side of the fairway opens up the hole to a left-to-right shot, but the green is small and surrounded by trouble. If your tee shot is less than perfect, the best layup is to a landing area left and short of the large fir tree, which offers an 80 to 95 yard shot, a level lie, great visibility, and a good angle into the green.
From Clothing and Accessories to Golf Equipment, we have everything you need - and want - for the game. The Golf Shop at Creston Golf Club is the best place to shop for a wide range of the latest men's and women's brand-name golf, sports and leisure wear, as well as accessories, footwear, souvenirs and rental equipment.
Our team has been working diligently to ensure we have new ways of operating to ensure the health and safety of our guests and our people as we begin 2021 golf season. We have taken the time to test the "new normal", from making 6ft/2m social distancing possible at all times, to sanitizing every surface after each use, to having our teams working with masks.

Had a good time playing this course during the week day. It was very busy and slow which was frustrating but overall still was a fun course to play with challenging holes and good greens. If your not straight down the pipe that’s ok as you can play from other holes. There was no cart girl so no food or drinks going around. Nice little patio which had food and drinks. Thanks for a fun time.

We booked our T-time a few days ahead of time, they lost our T-time, but gladly they squeezed us in. This is my 5 or 6 time playing this course every time they book the t-times too close together we had 3 people in front and 3 people behind us right of the first hole in the back 9. Needs new club house management!

I can't believe the club has not been rated before this. It is one of the primary reasons I retired in Creston. This year, as in all others, the greens and fairways are in excellent shape, providing me with no excuses for my poor performance other than my obvious lack of skill. I would also mention that the food is great, the beer is cold and clubhouse staff are super.

Just went to the restaurant for supper. Overall the food was good I had the burger and it was average my wife had the steak sandwich and enjoyed it and found it quite tender. The menu is fairly limited but given the traffic they are doing their best. The resturant was clean and the staff was friendly and the washrooms were very nice. I would go back for a casual meal.

The course has many challenging holes, even for low handicappers. The greens are large, nicely undulated and although they aren't the fastest, they are true. This was my first time playing here and being early September of 2017 the sky was very smokey with all of the surrounding forest fires so the normally gorgeous scenery didn't come through on this day but I'll be back for certain.

Amazing golf course. Well maintained. Very friendly staff. Scenery is amazing. Mountain views around the entire golf course. Overall Beautiful golf course in a beautiful town. Must play if you are a golfer and find yourself in creston. Other golf courses in canada would be lucky to have the natural beauty of the creston golf course.
