The exterior and grounds of the property are fairly rundown (asphalt torn up, paint peeling), but the room itself was super clean and in quite good shape—very comfortable.
Given the low cost for the Vancouver-area, I would recommend for anyone travelling here on a budget.

Helpful staff and super cheap
Dirty and most things are stained
Ok for a few nights in a self contained apartment in the city, or to stay where the Winchester brothers and Mulder have been

I stayed here once and someone literally got stabbed with a bottle and tried to break into my room.
Staff were super nice about it but wouldn't comp my stay unfortunately.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. It looks nothing like in the pictures. It is far from everything, there is not even a Tim Hortons around. There is no air conditioning, the TV doesn't work, it's clear the place hasn't been updated since it opened. there is NO USABLE WIFI. Us and the other tenants had to go hover around the reception office to get a signal and even then it was the slowest thing I have ever seen. For the price it is not worth it, and it is nothing as advertised.

They took two deposits from me first night I stayed in single room payed cash. Next night I moved to a full kitchenette suite two bedrooms. Rather than carrying the 200 deposit from first room they asked for a second two hundred. I assumed because I eD staying a week n the room was larger. At check out they only returned 200 and claim to have no paperwork on first deposit. So basically they frauded me as the manager has not returned my calls. I stayed there another night just last week single room and put 200 down dep. I had a family emergency so I asked my friend to return key to office and I

Bring a hair dryer and an extra blanket. Motel interesting enough to have had quite a few movies filmed there. There was a bates motel picture and a picture of Michael Myers on the wall. I entered my suite to find that the back door had been left open. I was already kinda creeped out so you can imagine how it looked scanning the whole room, closet, bathroom, under bed for A serial killer.
Room had heat cranked all the way up and still had to sleep in all my clothes it was so cold.
Also no hair dryer so I had to leave for my early morning flight with wet hair in.
Not overly impressed.

Not a terrible motel, but not good. Wi-fi comes and goes. As does maid service. Sometimes they clean; sometimes they don't. The roof on our building looked like it couldn't take a storm. Have to go to office for ice. Couldn't control a/c (if they even have it) or heat. Even the room phone was strange. Family called us - we couldn't hear them, but they heard us. No coffee in rooms. Closest place was a chicken joint a block away. Door knob on front door was about to fall off.

When I called them about the prices they only mention about the $89 price of the room. So me and my partner went to this place, and when we got there, the receptionist said that the room was $89 with a $200 deposit!!!! Crazyyy! When I asked the girl on the phone she didnt mention any deposit of that much money!!! I thought from the website was a good motel, but, really, for a motel it's too way expensive!!!!

Off the crappy part of Kingsway rests a piece of yesteryear. The 2400 motel is composed of around 20 small buildings or about 65 rooms on 3.5 acres of prime BC Crown land. You can rent anything from a single room to a three-room suite complete with kitchen, all of them are clean, if not exactly from this era. Narrow walkways wind thru the property with parking nearby whichever room you choose. According to Hitesh, the guy who checked me in, the 2400 motel has been here since 1944. If you just imagine a coat of paint every couple of years since then, you have an idea of what the outside looks

I am staying here between moves, and I quite like it.There are about 65 cabins, everything from a single,to a small house.Very pet friendly,to take a dog for a walk,or bring your cat,or like me some caged birds. Many of the units have 2 doors, and many touches from the 1940's,like globe lights in the kitchen, original radiaters, and windows. My unit has 2 small fridges,a range, and table with chairs, such a cute kitchenette. The filipina cleaning staff, are friendly, humble, kind and easy to deal with.Everything is kind of laid back, with many people having a beer or two,in the evening relaxing at a picnic

I've stayed here on two different occasions once in summer and currently in winter honestly good bang for the buck.

They're pet friendly which is a bonus as a dog owner, private entrances to all the units and reasonably priced.( About $110 summer $80 winter) There is actually some green spaces on site to walk your dog around.

The locations is great literally 20-25 min drive ( $20-25 in a cab) from all the amenities and touristy stuff downtown.

It's not super fancy or anything and the hotel is not exactly bend new, but it's clean, comfortable and convenient.
Some units have

I loved this funky little place. Our room was small but clean. There is free parking and our room was only $72 which is great for Vancouver. We ended up staying an extra night. If you want a luxurious place, this isn't for you but if you like a unique place from a simpler time, you've found it.

The place just looks right, from the proud-as-punch neon sign to the park-like grounds. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, even if you drive in without reservations. The rooms are simple but clean, and the place is always quiet. I wouldn't want to spend my vacation there, but for a quick overnight stay, it's four stars with me.

I think we caught this place on a bad day, but it was bad enough that we checked out early. The problems were mostly due to other people staying there. The woman working the desk as we were checking in, who was otherwise very nice, was threatening to call the police on some stoned people right when we got there. Then the people in the room next to us stayed up late talking, smoking, and coughing right outside our window. Then they set off their car alarm and let it go for a while at 2:30 am. Add in no air conditioning during an uncharacteristic Vancouver heat wave and we'd had enough. Also

At the risk of dating myself...well, it's not even a risk as much as a reality...I must speak up about the 2400 Motel. If you wish you lived in the 40's or 50's, love the LA you see in nostalgic films, Route 66 or bungalows...this place will speak to you. And let's be clear from the go: this is low-brow, film noir, people. Not fancy. No pool even.

I knew my husband and I belonged together when we visited Vancouver early on and we both gushed over the 2400's neon signage and general look. We started staying here in the early 90's during thrift store jaunts and

I actually didn't stay here, but I've always wanted to - so when my friends from Calgary said we could come hang out in their room for the night, I jumped on the chance to check out this kitschy Vancouver landmark..

It's cute! Our friends ended up getting two different rooms because of a noise issue, but the hotel accommodated and in the end, everyone was happy. The room was adorable, there was a clean kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and faux plug in fireplace that really just made the room in my opinion. I think each set of rooms is a duplex, the whole thing is adorable and reminded
