Our purpose begins with each patient, focusing on building trust and delivering value. We take pride in the services we provide and the positive impact we have on peoples lives. Growing up in Vernon, B.C. Dr. Christopher Herriot developed an interest in optometry as a teenager after being fit with contact lenses.
A 2010 graduate from the University of Waterloo Doctor of Optometry program, Dr. Herriot developed a keen interest in pediatric care, dry eye management, contact lens fitting, and binocular vision. Living in Fort St. John with his wife and children has allowed Dr. Herriot to be near family and build a successful practice.

The optometrists at North Peace Optometry Clinic can offer contact lenses to suit your lifestyle. We implement the latest technology in contact lens material and diagnostic equipment to provide contact lenses with the best comfort and vision. Your eye health is important to us, so we take care to perform a thorough health examination of your eyes and fit you with contact lenses that fit the unique shape of your eyes.
Myopia is a condition when the eye is longer than it should be, and the optical components of the eye bring light to a focus in front of the retina. Myopia causes blurred vision but can be corrected with glasses or contact lenses. In children myopia is often progressive, caused by excessive elongation of the eyeball.
North Peace Optometry Clinic now offers patients access to the optomap as part of a comprehensive eye exam. The optomap is a 200 degree, high-definition digital image of the retina. This is much wider than a traditional 45 degree image retina photo that most other clinics use. The optomap is a tool that assists us in the evaluation of your retina.
