TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding is a clean and high quality electric welding process, considered the most popular choice when used in one-off component repair. The precision and high quality of the welding is unmatched within the gas welding processes. This process has been the backbone of Whitfield Welding Inc. since 1985.
MIG welding can be a manual, automatic or semi-automatic additive process. A continuous spooled wire electrode, solid or cored with powdered alloys and flux is used. Digital power sources sophisticated feeders enhance quality to levels not possible in the past. Whitfield Welding Inc. has coupled this process with robots and proprietary cam software to maximize deposition rates and efficiencies.
Micro tig welding is performed under a high-powered microscope. This additive process utilizes sophisticated power sources that can produce very stable low amperage welding. Our technicians have 16+ years experience with this process and 4 amp welds have been successfully accomplished. This process fits nicely between Tig welding and Micro laser welding.
Laser Micro Welding is an additive process using a laser and fine filler wires, as small as.003. With the ability to weld both ferrous and non-ferrous material. This process is useful when repairing deep narrow ribs, texture repair, parting line seal off repair and any thing else requiring minimal heat input and distortion control.
