After high school, I received a federal grant to kickstart recycling in Powell River. It was successful, but my itchy feet could not be ignored. After my contract was up, I left it in good hands and was soon on a freighter to Japan (1973). By the time I got to Singapore, it was time to reload my wallet, so I turned south to Australia.
My extensive experience of disability there gave me a deep appreciation of health and those (e.g., nurses) who serve that value. Later, I had my first experience with Massage Therapy and was very impressed with its healing power. A pivotal event as I was searching for a lifelong career choice. I made it back to Canada in 1979 via India, etc. and set about getting to massage college.
