Dr. Kaitlyn Rumbolt was born and raised on the west coast of Newfoundland. After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in 2018, she returned home to practice as a general dentist with a commitment to providing quality care and a passion for fostering a comforting environment for all of her patients.

Moncton Smiles offers the service of Preventive Dental Hygiene. Our team of well-trained hygienists provides exceptional services for patients in order for them to maintain great long-term oral health. It is important to introduce good oral hygiene methods to children at an early age for them to keep that habit throughout their life.
A filling is used to restore the tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. Several materials are available for fillings such as: Gold fillings, porcelain, silver amalgam and tooth-colored plastic called composite resin fillings. The location of the filling, the cost and your dentist's recommendation will help determine the best option for you.

HIT!! Dr. Quartey and Laura at Moncton Smiles. I have severe anxiety about dentists, only dentists. It’s horrible. These two amazing professionals helped me through an intense process and had the patience of saints. They were reassuring and understanding, non-judgemental and very kind. They have made the experience far less stressful than I had… anticipated going in. I was still shaking like crazy but I did not opt for the gas and I didn’t feel the urge to bolt out of the door. I called the Moncton Emergency Dentist line because I had a raging toothache that would not go away. Moncton Smiles called me back within a reasonable tIme (within an hour) and got me an appointment the following day at 9AM. I didn't wait long at all. The office staff appeared to be overworked. There were some mistakes that I had to manually correct on my paperwork for insurance, but that's not all that uncommon with my last name being a tough one to spell out. I don't blame the single office worker, she was slammed. There were probably about 15 patients that she was rushing through

The staff and hygienists were great. Dr. Obrien, however, was awful. Most visits I dread because he is very rough and uncaring. I had a "cap" filling on my front tooth a while back from him and I left with a very jagged uneven tooth. This tooth quickly got worse as things would get stuck in small pits. I went today to get that tooth fixed and when he was finished, the hygienist handed me a mirror and asked what I thought. The tooth was very uneven which made it look crooked and had extra material jutting out toward the other tooth. I pointed this out to be fixed and he came in

I have been seeing Dr O'Brien for 10+ years and I scheduled my husband and I for check up/cleanings with Dr O'Brien 6 weeks before our appointment. When I made the appointment I told them we wouldn't be getting x-rays and asked if they could still see us, they said yes. I called again a week before our appointment to confirm that we would still be seen without x-rays, they said yes. For me dentist= phobia, since I was 7yrs old... I happen to hear about a one day free dental clinic in Buctouche from a physician who was treating me for an abscess tooth. After finishing my antibiotics, couple of days later, went to that clinic w/friend. 2pm, surgeon came in, 3pm I was done. He did two before me, I watched them calmly leave. I… went in and he very professionally said: "just a little pic", and that's all it was. He pulled out two as he laughed while carrying on a conversation with his assistant. I have a phobia when it comes to dentists. I needed a filling , I tried going to my original dentist a mth ago, and he scared me because he put the max amount of freezing on my gums and I could still feel what he was doing , so I booked an appt with Dr Quartey. I was extremely nervous , I took the pill before hand to calm my nerves , and Dr Quartey… was so amazing ! Best dental experience ever. I just received a complete set of dentures which involved many visits. All staff made me feel 100% comfortable. I had the pleasure of working with both Doctor O'Brien and Dr. Quartey. Both were exceptional! Their method of explaining everything in a thorough and easy to understand method was top notch.
