Athletic Therapy is the prevention, immediate care and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries by a Certified Athletic Therapist. It involves the assessment of physical function followed by the treatment of pain and/or injury in order to get clients back to pain-free activity and prevent re-injury.
Our Athletic Therapists use the sports medicine model of active rehabilitation, which includes early exercise intervention combined with traditional therapeutic interventions. Our onsite clinics are able to provide immediate assessments and deliver treatment in your facility with little or no lost time.

Services
Our clinic is staffed by Certified Athletic Therapist who have been providing Athletic Therapy since 2003 to private clients in Mississauga, ON and onsite clinics for industrial clients across Ontario. We provide athletic therapy services to the everyday person and athlete with the goal of returning them pain free to the activities of daily life.
Jennifer, a Certified Athletic Therapist, has both her Honors Degree in Physical Education and Honors Diploma in Sports Injury Management. Jennifer founded the S.M.A.R.T Clinic in 2003 and has since worked with various professional and amateur athletes, sports teams and manufacturing companies in and around the GTA.

Initial Assessment - An assessment is a session that allows the Certified Athletic Therapist to evaluate and test what could be causing your pain or discomfort. In the assessment the Athletic Therapist will ask questions to gain a better knowledge of your history and what may be causing your pain or discomfort.
