Yes, it's true. And considering a properly insulated attic will do the most of any other insulation upgrade to help a home retain as much heat (in the winter), and as much cool (in the summer), as possible, attics really should be the first place homeowners consider when looking to upgrade the insulation in their home.
Depending on the age of your home, you may or may not have any insulation (that's right, at all!) in your home's exterior wall cavities. Not surprisingly, if you make the choice to upgrade your exterior walls' insulation, there are large savings in both energy costs & increased comfort available, and all for a reasonable cost.
Did you know that the complete absence of insulation in the garage is a significant cause of comfort & energy problems in other parts of the house?. Yup, it's true. The garage is an easy part of the house to overlook insulation-wise but is a great place to make energy-saving improvements since it's not part of the overall living space.
Few things are more annoying than hearing everything that is going on in the room above or below you. Often this is the result of a variety of sound factors working together, which means that no one solution will remove all of the different forms of noise that are being created. There's noise that's created when objects make contact with the floor surface above.

I'd done a lot of research on insulation prior to contacting Ecolofty and knew what I wanted in order to improve the efficiency of our home energy use. Christina was very forthcoming and knowledgeable about the product and she offered a lot of detailed observations on the condition of our attic space. Needless to say we had our attic insulation increased to R50 and it was done even sooner than anticipated! Our first night we felt like we were sleeping in a giant cocoon. Our home feels so comfortable and is also extremely quiet which is calming. I would highly recommend Ecolofty. Not only do they

As a real estate agent, I work with and refer suppliers often. I can unreservedly recommend Ecolofty. We have a big attic and it needed another 12" of insulation. We priced fibreglass with another company, but for just a little more Ecolofty provided cellulose, a superior and typically much more expensive product. They put in about 18". Our experience: good price, friendly, communicative, reliable, and good follow up. We also liked supporting a smaller, local company.
