In Ontario, if you have purchased a property, you are required to pay Provincial Land Transfer Tax (PLTT). In addition, if you live in Toronto, you will pay a Municipal Land Transfer Tax (MLTT). The tax is based on the amount that you paid for the property or, in some case, on the fair market value of the land.

What a pleasure it has been to work with Marks & Ciraco on the recent closing for our house. Our experience has been nothing but awesome! Great Corporate Law firm. William Marks assisted me with the purchase of a new business for a restaurant. Fees were very reasonable and he patiently answered all of my questions. He returns calls and e-mails on the same day which is rare these days. He handled everything including the transfer of the liquor licence and insured that I was legally protected.
