The story of Applebay Dental began when a family member required extensive dental care. Determined to help and stop the suffering, a young man, now known to us as Dr. Shah, decided to go through many years of schooling to become a dentist. Dr. Majit Shah completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Windsor and received his Dental Degree from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
Throughout his studies, he was able to address the dental care needs of the most important member of his family - his mother- one by one. As his mom required regular care, she became to be known as mom to all his fellow colleagues. During his graduation, Dr. Majit, could not be prouder - he not only got to complete the gruelling dental training but also managed to restore a healthy smile for the most important patient - his mom.

A panorex is a very impressive piece of imaging machinery in that it is capable of identifying many issues and structures that a normal Dental X-rays are not. Initially, you will sit in a chair with your chin on a small ledge. Once positioned in the machine, it will rotate around your entire head taking a full 360-degree view of the teeth, head, sinuses and bones.
Our aim is to look after our patients just as I would my own family. This is why I pursued dentistry in the first place. For many years my mother had dental difficulties. This included a variety of ailments from gum disease, to cavities, to chewing concerns. I was determined to help my mother achieve a healthy mouth.
Here at Applebay Family Dental we love being able to help children care for their oral health. We know the importance of caring for your smile and enjoy the opportunity to help. Wipe starting at the back or the mouth and working toward the front to make sure you get all the leftover milk or formula.

Took my children in for cleanings. Sat with both of them thru the "cleaning" which consisted of the cleaning plaque with a pick for 5 minutes, doing x-rays, and a fluoride coating and being told my children had over 4 cavities each, my insurance was charged for full cleanings (which did not happen, I have never had a cleaning without the teeth being cleaned, polished and flossed) and the x-rays and my wallet still took a hit. Took my kids to a new dentist this time around and low and behold no cavities and both got proper cleanings. Not sure if this is normal practice for this clinic but it was

This is the best dentist ever I'm not scared of dentists any more I'm 10 years helping right it they lottery don't butcher your teeth like one I no in st Catherine's not gonna say his name but anyways this place my son walked out saying that was fun he loves the dentist now can't wait to go back there so good for kids

I had a great experience at Applebay Family Dental. Everyone was very kind, and overall there was a positive vibe. Dr Shah was very good at calming my nerves while being polite and gentle. My past experiences at my previous dental office were negative and Dr Shah was aware of this, so he did an excellent job at making sure my appointment went smoothly. I have nothing to worry about the next time I go in as I am confident that Dr Shah and his team will take good care of me! Very glad I switched to Applebay Family Dental!

I never got a scaling/cleaning done in my country because I was always scared to go to a dentist. But when I talked to Applebay dental over the call regarding my tooth ache, they made me feel comfortable and I gained the confidence to visit a dentist. My first ever vist there was so relaxing and easy. I got my tooth fixed by Dr. Shah. He is very polite and humble with his patients. He is so good in his work that I did not even realized that when did the treatment finish. Very disappointed with the way a clerical error on THEIR part was handled. I work in customer service. Verifying a contact number is the first thing you do, especially if the current protocol is a phone screening prior to someone's appointment.
Accidents do still happen I understand but when its your mistake the business should go above and beyond to correct it.

Unfortunately I don’t remember the Dr’s name but I had an emergency on New Years Eve at 4:00. My 2 year old grandson was in pain . We called the office and they were about to close. I explained our situation and he told us to bring him in.....The Doctor was great with my grandson. Thank you so much!
