From single rooms to 3-room kitchenettes or full kitchens, we welcome guests old and new. Open mid-May thru September, the Bear Mountain Motel is a classic 1960's style motel. The wood and masonry architecture and drive-up parking is a favorite with the nostalgic traveler. Rooms are small by today's standards and are very clean.

Older motel that could do with a renovation, but the beds were comfortable and the room was a decent size. Staff were friendly, and it's a great location - close to everything, but without loud people walking home outside.
Main issue is the water pressure; the shower was just a dribble. Otherwise, allowing for the low price, it would have been full marks.

We've been returning to Waterton for two decades, and the Bear Mountain Motel is, by far, our favourite place to stay. The rooms are like perfectly kept time-capsules from the '50s. Not to mention clean, well equipped, and comfortable. On our recent stay, we accidentally dropped our son's cherished stuffy in the alley behind the motel - before returning to Calgary. Vic and the owners not only found the lost stuffy but mailed it back to us. And it's that level of service that you can't put a price on. We highly recommend the Bear Mountain Motel!

The Bear Mountain Motel provides modest accommodations with exceptional staff. The hotel was more than accommodating to our every request and were eager to offer assistance. The rooms provide a nostalgic atmosphere and the location is convenient for access to the marina, beach, and village center. I will be staying here again.

Partly renovated room, the new bed was super comfy, and the new bathroom was beautifully done, I was worried about being on the highway, but you can't really hear the traffic from inside the unit, and at night there seems to be very little traffic. Was also pleased that they had washers and dryers for the guest use, that came in handy since we were there for many days.

I left my jewelry box at the motel, and was able to bring it back to me in good piece! + they didn't charge me for the shipping!
