Begun by Bill Roubos, Moorefield Excavating was incorporated in 1991. We've steadily grown from our first piece of equipment to a company with a full range of earthmoving and pipe-laying equipment capable of taking on a wide range of projects in Midwestern Ontario. Initially, most of our work was on a per hour basis.

However, we quickly grew into civil construction and predominantly tendered construction work, but have actively sought to maintain our small-town commitment to service and community. In 2010, the company transitioned from Bill to sons Jerry (President) and Hans (Director), as well as John Landman (Secretary / Treasurer).
Services
Every day at Moorefield Excavating Ltd., we work with big equipment, moving dirt, installing water mains and sewer lines and building roads. At the end of the day, though, we know success isn't measured by ground moved or equipment hours; instead, success is better communities and satisfied customers, as well as safe employees.
At Moorefield, we have years of experience in challenging infrastructure renewal projects. These projects require us to replace ageing sewers, water mains and urban area roads, usually in highly public traffic areas. Our experienced supervisors and employees take pride in doing all they can to minimize construction disruptions to surrounding residents and businesses, while also ensuring efficiency and safety for all concerned.

I came home from physiotherapy and asked one of the workers where I could park to be out of the way, was told my driveway for the next 2 days would be fine. Woke up to my driveway roped off blocking my car in. So that was a lie. Moved my car finally and was told I'd be fine in cul-de-sac, woke up this morning and now they're digging again (day 3) and I've had to move my
